So do those Truth commercials make anyone else who doesn't smoke want to take up smoking out of pure spite?

Eveytime I see one of those commercials I want to smoke a carton.

These public service announcements or whatever drive me crazy. They just take these kids that try to act hip and cool by telling us not to smoke or smoke weed(those are a whole 'nother bag of shit) but they just do it in such a stupid and irritating way.

And on top of that I never see any anti-alcohol commercials. When it comes down to it alcohol is more dangerous than weed and cigarettes. I mean I like to drink but I realize what I'm putting in my body and I know in the long run it'll probably be worse for me than this other stuff. So why no anti-drinking commercials? Why no anti-crack commercials? Anti-heroin? Anti-meth(they did those for a bit)?

What other commercials of this type annoy the shit out of you?

Wow, if this isn't a conversation from two (three?) years ago.

As for the rest...alcohol doesn't usually fuck you up unless you abuse it, and the rest of them are illegal. It'd be like running commercials telling kids not to knock over a liquor store.

this IS dama we're talkin about here...

The guy who used to always say he's big, 6'4, and 250 lbs? (not sure what the exact weight was, but according to another poster, Dama used to brag about that all the time).

yep, that'd be correct...he's also given to fits of rage at random times, going so far as to heinously throw his remote control at his little brother...he's also noted for strong arming indivuduals with late returns during his days as a library security guard...he'll also root for his college team's bitter rival if his team isn't doing so well...he's a legend when it comes to knocking up chicks and not caring if it's his or not because he just knows she'll get an abortion and he'll have nothing to worry about 9 months later because this particular chick always has abortions whenever she gets knocked up...he's currently learning martial arts so that he can beat people up.

I'm telling you, Dama's life will never get old, you can't help but like him!

I wish... unfortunately there's been a revival of those damn commercials and they're still just as annoying as ever

Sometimes I see those weight-watchers ads and it makes me so mad that I want to go eat 10 burgers! And when I see those Jessica Simpson clear-skin ads, I want to go rub grease on my face just to spite the world!

And in all truth: those ads where they show little kids that got killed from drunk drivers, or people that lived but got wicked badly disfigured from people driving drunk, those work for me. I make more of an effort to not drive drunk more out of fear of killing or injuring some undeserving person that's only guilty of wrong place/wrong time than I am out of fear of killing myself or getting a DUI.

Fuck you guys, I'm with Dama on this one.

wellllll, while I do hate the commercials, it doesn't make me want to go from being a non-smoker to suddenly blazing a whole carton...that's kinda dumb.

by the way, as a non-smoker, I really don't care whether people smoke or not, it's their body, it's my choice whether I want to be around it or not.

I'll also have to agree with Dama on this one. If I didn't think smoking was about the most disgusting thing ever. But, I can't see how one person who was a smoker is going to stop because of those awful commercials.

Fuck Truth. I don't encourage smoking by any means, nor will I claim that there aren't serious health risks, but those fuckers are just as bad as people who push religion, or anything really, on others.

It was so satisfying at the Warped Tour when they were offering free t-shirts to anyone who'd throw away their cigarettes. As I walked by, I lit up a Newport, smiled, and waved. They made some sort of condescending remark, and I laughed as I walked away.
