Beefbaq for 1/12 HD

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm actually going to be detailed this week!

- Like I told Adam, a good promo from Axel to kick things off which told you his motivation and what he plans to do with the Upstarts. FYI, I'll write the I Quit match because I should write ONE match as champion, at least.

- Though there's been problems in the past, it's good to see Hoff back.

- Zack's gone off the deep end, it seems. Gee, all I did was hit you with my belt; why get so pissy? I liked him with Rodez as it showed how he has a one track mind now and that is to stop Axel and PK.

- SJ was hilarious in the tag match with all the shirts. It shows that he doesn't give a shit about being an Original or Upstart anymore.

- I see KCs been watching TNA too much with the whole NNMX parody. You need to use Jade more.

- Ooh, Axel's plan blows up in his face with Ragdoll. INTRIGUE!

- Unlike the "real" federations, we still care about our tag teams. Bring it on, Brains and Brawn!

- Patty brings it again with Krista. Is this just some sort of alternate personality of yours that you can only bring out when posting in internet wrestling federations?

- Good main event that showed the changes in Blonde and Faqu. I thought the whole thing with Hoff was a good way to end the show as it leaves you wondering what will come of this next week.

- Rodez vs. Black should be an interesting Original vs. Original matchup. I wonder how Zack will take this?

Good show tonight, guys. The Upstarts/Originals storyline has been handled much better within the last couple of weeks that it was a few months ago. Lots of development this week with a strong promo from Axel and Zack going off all over the place.

I must confess that I was a tad bit disappointed with the HEAVENLY Rockers-PR/SJ match. I knew

what Popick had planned for his character, being out until AP/banned because he isn't medically cleared as it is in the storyline, but for a heel to dominate one of the top face tag teams the way PR did, I'm not so sure of that. But I appreciate Popick helping out with this year's AC. I did enjoy the t-shirt bits.

Zack did a good job with the other AC match. The returning Blonde and Faqu looked strong but the veteran team of Black T was too much at the end.

Patty was his usual self. Did Maya do the graphic? :D

But my favorite part of the show had to be the use of Rick "The Model" Martel. Kinda bitter-sweet considering the news of his liver problem from years of roid abuse, but Martel is one of my favorites.

My stuff is in...a backstage segment right after the PR promo and the match is after the US segment. The Otaku/Parka match should go immediately after my backstage segment.

Well, with an e-fed there's no chance of me winding up heavily medicated and under 24 hour surveillance!

All the promos on this show were really good. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The Alix/Leon lemonade bit was purrrdy cute, though. As was Vitamin X's and Cuban Wall's attempt to come up with a team name, entrance style, etc. Also I'm often amazed at Ned's ability to be both funny and outright deplorable at the same time. It seems the civil war angle has really drummed up some interesting plot points and storyline twists in the past couple of weeks. Respect.

I love Ragdoll. What a great character. My life just hasn't been complete without him in it. Stay with me forever. Don't break this heart again, baby.

I noticed the Hollywood Rockers error well before the show was posted, and probably should've said something. But I was hoping it would subtly encourage Tony to change their name. It didn't as evidenced by the "HEAVENLY" in his post. Sorry, ya'll.

Change their name again? THR have already been through two name changes. I do remember Sean Waltman going through a bunch of different names in the early 90s until the WWF settled on 1-2-3 Kid. So it's not unheard of. You like it better that way?

Feedback attack from the Zack Attack~!

-Nice opening bit with Axel doing a good job of tying everything together and cementing this as the official Upstarts unit. While the reasoning had a little too much "backstage" blame put on the shoulders of Zack and Black T, that's merely constructive criticism, although it is the m.o. of the Upstarts to blame impossible things on the Originals.

-Hell, I didn't even know Hoff would be on HeldDOWN~! until a PM the night before!

-Betrayal has always been something I've used to push the Zack character "over the edge", as it's been done in the past in my feuds with Popick and Evenflow, amongst others. Still, with him having been on the fringe of sanity during his "stressful" heel run, I opted to make him less of a "bouncing babyface" and more of a human, showing that the stress of this war is eating away at him. Hope it came off well.

-Rick Martel on our TV? It's no worse than Tatanka coming back to RAW, lol. Foshi's done a good job handling the Rikjin character in recent weeks, as Rikjin was originally created by me to be an recurring character, but not a permanent one. Still, nice squash that has furthered the tension in this uneasy partnership.

-Good bit with PRL playing ungrateful heel, making excuses as to why a former ally is not on his level.

-I don't know why, but I thought of the movie Varsity Blues during Alf's promo. It seemed like a total "coach's motivational speech", and I don't mean Jonathan Coachman.

-Kudos to KC for holding continuity steady in his promo, as well as making me TITTER over the NNMX parody spot.

-Nice, quick match from Alf. The ending reminded me of the Shawn Michaels/Shelton Benjamin interaction a few weeks back.

-Is it odd that I'd actually pay to see someone ride an ostrich to the ring? Also, dig those insider references, kids!

-Great to see Ragdoll back. Any addition to the ranks is always welcome, but it's the returns of old faces and established characters that make me happy. We've had COD, Foshi, and Rags all return recently...what's next? Kotz?

You see, those wrinkles on your forehead aren't the product of natural aging. No. It's the result of you falling flat on your face every time you fall off the wagon, Duncan

-Forget falling off the wagon, I almost fell out of my chair reading this. Good shit all around.

-CCZZHHHTREHEHHH!? For a minute, I thought Czech changed his username and invaded our show. Silly Popick. Nothing will ever beat the time Dames went through a table and said "owwww" on a live OAOAST broadcast though. Cute finish to the albeit brief match, too.

-Truthfully, I wanted to do a promo going back and forth on the mic with both PK and Axel, so I did my best in the solo style. Probably not my best promo, but if it did the job and you all got the gist of it, then go me! heh.

-I'd say Ned sucked me dry, but that would imply that he actually managed to get me wet in the first place.

LINE OF THE YEAR. Also, the Stevie Wonder references made me smile. Patty knows why. OMG INSIDE JOKE!

-Nice little promo by Popick there, capturing our past tensions.

-annnnnnnnnnd the main event, which was done by moi. Although I didn't know it'd have been the main event, or I might have made it longer and a little more competitive. Blonde and Faqu, for those of you who are new (or just forgot) were two of our OAOAST Saturday Night jobbers that I came up with almost four (FOUR!) years ago. They resurfaced several times in recent years, once to be crushed by Damaramu, once as a retooled tag team helping out General Manager Josie, and now what you see before you.

-The ending bit with Hoff and Tony/Black T was good, although wouldn't it have been better for him to have been escorted out earlier in the show? He didn't miss much, lol. That said, great segment.

-OMG INTRIGUE~! to end the show.

Good effort. Looks like things are shaping up well for the year 2006.

-Good opening segment with The Upstarts and Popick. Nice to see Axel give an explanation on his heel turn last week. I'm disappointed that the fans didn't chant "AX-HOLE!" at him though. That's the perfect chant to use against him, man!

-Holy crap, Hoff's back!?!?!?! That's great! I'm glad to see him return, although the question is: will he join up with Axel or stay a face? If Hoff joins the Upstarts, it could be the OAOAST equlivalent to Hulk Hogan joining Hall and Nash to form the nWo back in '96.

-Zack is pissed off! Oh noes! Seriously, this was a good short segment to set up what would happened later.

-Hey, Rick "The Model" Martel! That's someone that hasn't been used in the OAOAST! Sucks that he has a liver problem now. I hope he gets better. I thought Foshi would be competing against Martel, but I was wrong. Good WWF Superstars-style squash by Rikjin Massamoto. I'm intrigued by the storyline between Foshi and Massamoto. I have no idea what's going to happen next, but I'm interested in finding out.

-Sounds like there's some trouble in the Alfdogg camp. I wonder if the dissension will affect their Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match. Hmmm. I wonder...

-Wow, that multi Angle Award winning Tag Team Champion Leon Rodez sure is funny. Hilarious segment from KC. I always love Simpsons references, and this was no different. There's something inherently corny about starwipes that I just can't help but love them. I'm going to whisper "STARWIPE~!" the same way I whisper "SPARKLY~!" and "GREASY~!" for now on (don't ask). Leon and Jade Rodez have good chemistry together and I would like to see them interact with each other more often. Zack busting in was a surprise. I think Zack not paying attention to The New New Midnight Express might come back to harm him and Leon. We shall see.

-Nice Six-Man Tag Team Championship match. Very fast paced. I kind of got the feeling that Alfdogg, ThunderKid, and Reject wouldn't win, due to their segment earlier. It looks like the Alfdogg/TK/Reject alliance isn't going to last much longer. I'm interested in seeing what happens next.

-Good segment between Axel and Ragdoll. Wow, Axel and Ragdoll aren't friends anymore. Hopefully, this storyline continues, because I want it to.

-Great interview from The New New Midnight Express and James E. Cornette, one of the best promos Tony149 has ever written. I haven't seen much of Cornette's promos, but from what I've seen, I can tell that Tony has gotten Cornette down pat. It hyped up the Tag Team Title match at Anglepalooza very well. Mocking Terry Taylor never gets old.

-Popick wrote PRL's promo before the Anderson Cup match, and I must admit, he did a pretty good job with it. I have no complaints with it.

-I had no idea that PRL and Popick's match in the Anderson Cup was this week. I really didn't have a problem with the way SJ wrote PR, although he messed up some of the move names. PR's Rock Bottom is called the Latin Slam, and the People's Elbow is called The IntenseZone Elbow, not the Corporate Elbow. Also, Puerto spits on his elbowpad and then throws it onto his opponent's face before he does the elbow. Anyway, I liked the bit with Popick and his T-shirts, the best one being the one with PK and Vince McMahon. I take it Stephen Joseph is now a tweener, since he hates the Upstarts, but he didn't actually say he was an Original. Add to it that he manages PRL, who's still a heel, and it's a pretty bizarre situation. The ending came out of nowhere for me, but I had a feeling that PRL and Popick weren't going to win the match anyway. The handshake between Stephen and Logan was a nice gesture.

-Oh My God, Zack Malibu has snapped! That was a short but sweet segment. Zack really, really, REALLY wants to kick The Upstarts candy asses. Zack's very passionate about the OAOAST and it shows in this segment.

-Yea! A Patty O' Green segment! The graphic for Beat The Unbeatable Woman is just great. It was indeed another entertaining segment from Patty. Poor Sweet Lou. There should be another Beat The Unbeatable Woman segment soon and I mean soon!

-I liked the segment between Stephen Joseph and Zack Malibu. It showed that SJ and Zack may have to work together in order to vanquish The Upstarts. I've never seen Popick and Zack team up, so I'm hoping that they come together to battle The Upstarts.

-Good main event. The pace never slowed down, and it put over James Blonde and Faqu well. Are Blonde & Faqu staying now, or are they going to return to HI-YAH again? The post-match activities with Tony and Hoff were great. That took alot of balls for Tony to throw the soda in Hoff's face. Hoff is back in the OAOAST, and things have gotten even more interesting because of it!

-Poor patheic Terry Taylor. Leon Rodez vs. Dan Black next week? No-ice.

Bottom Line: Very good show this week. The Upstarts vs. The Originals feud has gotten even better thanks to the events of the past week. Hoff and Ragdoll coming back is a plus. We know where Ragdoll stands on the Civil War. Where does Hoff's allegiance lie? So far, things are going smoothly on the Road To AngleMania V.

Thumbs up.

HOLY SHIT! Zack left feedback. Everybody should petition congress to designate January 13th as a national holiday. It's that monumental.

I like the way PR wrote his segment with Cole interviewing him on the AngleTron from, presumably, Sofa Central. Unique take. He may be the best when it comes to getting his story points across in commentary. If you just joined and didn't know what the hell was going on between his characters you could get a pretty good idea just by reading his pre-match/pre-recap commentary. Speaking of recaps, something PR does a great deal of, I would suggest using quote tags or text indicating the start and finish of recaps to make things easier to read. Otherwise you can get lost very easily if you turn away for one second.

Interesting to see problems arising between the trio of TK, Reject and Alf.

6-Man tags can be tough to write, but Alf does a heck of a job. The Pearl Harbor line is textbook Gorilla Monsoon.

MOTN: Black T vs. James Blonde & Faqu.

LOTN: "I'd say Ned sucked me dry, but that would imply that he actually managed to get me wet in the first place." -- Krista Isadora Duncan

sorry the match wasnt up to what you were thinking tony, but i booked myself into a corner , and I honestly though it was okay that PR dominated (instense!) for 2 minutes before the rockers got around to teaming appropriately.

Great show guys.

Opening segment was done by moi, with a bit of help from PK, so we'll skip that. Glad to see you all enjoyed it.

What was the next segment? Who's that guy?

The return of PSYCHO ZACK~! I like. We need more angry Zack again. Interesting to see him as a face.

Patty and KC continue to be the best writers in this place by so far its sad for me to know that I couldn't possibly catch up.

Rodez vs. Black? 2 Sweet, like my Kevin Nash doll says.

Main was good. I want to see Black T vs. The Usual Suspects. Maybe as GM I can make an executive decision one week. Who knows.

Ken's back! About fucking time.

AP should be awesome. I know, I'm posting it.

Didn't Carl Winslow get killed a while back, or am I mistaken?

Anyway, great show. I'm feeling lazy so I won't go into detail, but this was a good read all around. I especially enjoyed all the promos tonight, as just about everybody seemed to bring some heat this time around.
