NoCalMike Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I am looking to get back into the download game, and I have little experience with bit torrents. I know you have to have a client for it, and I downloaded the client from bittorrent.com. I just want to know some recommendations from you guys on good sites to download from, so I can avoid the websites with 99% broken links or files that just sit there in the client and don't actually download.
Sideburnious Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 www.torrentspy.com thats a pretty good one, you don't have to sign up for it and it has alot of everything on it.
admin Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 isohunt.com or packetnews.com are both great tools for legitimate downloads. *however I can not testify for the number or illegal downloads. If you get those thats your own private choice.
Carnival Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I don't think robots are subject to human laws. pwtorrents.com, they used to have ROH stuff. I tried it once. waste of time. fuck a torrent.
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I'd suggest getting another client like Azareus, BitTornado, etc... The ability to download only certain parts of a torrent is a good thing. Especially if you look for porn. mininova.org is a good general one I use. torrentspy.com is also good. empornium.us for your porn needs. Every site is going to have their share of dead and slow torrents, though. That's why I much prefer usenet.
Carnival Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 The only reason I have internet. It's a fucking god send. P2P is dead! alt.binaries.erotica.fetish.beans
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I'm lucky enough that my ISP gives me good free service to newsgroups. Retention is only about a week, but that's fine for me.
Carnival Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I sponge of abowen33's account. But I would pay if I had to.
Jobber of the Week Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Nobody here has mentioned uTorrent, which is the best client app. Nearly as feature filled as Azureus, lightyears ahead in the memory hog department.
