So yeah this should be a pretty good fight. Jeff Lacy's style is getting him compared to a younger, slightly smaller Tyson. Admittingly, I haven't seen a lot from Calzaghe, but according to the experts he is definately up for this challenge. This saturday on Showtime, baby. Who's watchin' ?

You might want to change the 'this Saturday' part...

But, as far as the fight, Calzaghe has earned the label of 'coward' for good reason. This is the first time hes really stepped up in his entire long career. I do think it will be a good fight though...but Im pretty confidant that Lacy will win.

Lacy, btw, had a quick cameo in the espn mobile commercial (the one with the guy on the phone walking through town with all the athletes) during the Superbowl.

Man I hope for the sake of boxing Lacy dominated Calzaghe.

Calzaghe for years ducked out alot of MAJOR challenges and has many wins that are questionable.

Remember when he pulled out of the Glen Johnson fight? I was livid!!!!

Lacy on the other handle is entertaining and humble, and has always been up for the challenge, and gives the fights the fans want to see. To improve this sport, Lacy needs to KNOCK CALZAGHE THE FUCK OUT.

Lacy was totally outclassed last night and took an absolute hiding.

Calzaghe gave him a boxing lesson and the crowd was giving it the 'easy' chant after just a few rounds.

Is Lacey not all he's cracked up to be or did certain people not give Calzaghe enough credit going in?

During the Postfight interview. Lacy admitted he went into the fight looking to just land one big punch that would put Calzaghe down. His corner should be blamed as well as Lacy for not having a plan for the fight. I mean seriously watching the fight, if Calzaghe has any real power, he would have KO'd Lacy in 3 rounds or less. Lacy just kept moving forward to get beat on and was merely looking to land a big hook for 10 rounds. It was pitiful.....

Over on HBO an hour later, Miguel Cotto destroyed Branco or whoever that guy was. Another guy totally outclassed, but this was to be expected. As impressive as some think Cotto has been, he does have the tendency to get hit a lot in order to get his own punches in, this may hurt him later down the road against top quality opponents. He has been in trouble in other fights, but found a way to come back.....

I haven't followed his career or anything, but just watching the fight last night, I was really impressed with Calzaghe. He seemed way too fast for Lacy and he hardly got touched despite fighting aggressively for 12 rounds. I don't doubt that Lacy's gameplan was bad, but you can't put the whole fight on that. He just looked completely outclassed in there against someone who was a far superior boxer.

What he does is get a goddamn different trainer, IF HE WAS SMART HE WOULD GET A GREAT TRAINER LIKE FREDDIE ROACH, OR BUDDY MCGIRT.

Either one of those trainers would do wonders for his career, espically Buddy McGirt, who took Arturo Gatti who was for the most part of his career known as a club fighter until McGirt got him to use head movement and turned him into a contender. Lacy has much more potential then Gatti had, so I know McGirt can turn him into an elite fighter.

Lacy needs a few fights with above average talent to get his confidence back.
