Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 what would a season of American Idol be without...Barry Manilow?
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 A bit oversinging, but overall very good; certainly earning her spot. The last few notes were especially good.
Hawk 34 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Mandisa, as far as the singing has really set herself apart. Kellie gets by on personality and McPhee via looks. Kevin gets by with his gimmick. Showing her feet, wasn't neccesary.
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Wow.. good reviews all around. Heh. Stripper song. Well, I kinda have to agree.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Wow, Mandisa might just be able to blast it out of the park each week. It didn't do anything for me, but it was still one of the best performances thus far in the season. It's nothing I would buy or stop to listen to on the radio, but for a performance show, infront of an audience, it certainly got the job done.
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 "It's such a...uh...great piece of...uh...music." So looking at cue cards to put over these lame pieces of crap. d00d. You're not Bo. Or Constantine. Give it up. He's so flat and dull.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 This is just awful. Certainly there has to be a better song from the 50s catalogue for Bucky.
Hawk 34 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Well, at least I won't have to watch the result show. Bucky's goin home.
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 damn, Simon fucked him up! Simon's best season by far!
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Cheers to the audience no selling Paula's clap for a few seconds. Reality check! YES!! Simon is god. And, of course, there goes Paula with her cracktastic comments, "People love you, Bucky, people love you!" Does he have room to grow? Um....no. If he's not any better after he's gotten this far? He -won't- grow. Plain as that. Ya asshat.
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 not bad, Paris, not bad....sorry guys, Miss Annoying McFakerstein continues onward.
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 -sigh- And so it starts... EVERY SONG has to end on this long drawn-out note. Yawn.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Elvis was in the 50s, Bucky would have done better doing some Elvis. I just don't like Paris. Theres something about her voice for the most part that annoys me. It was like she was performing the song, but she wasn't feeling the song.
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 off topic: movies based on dancing SUCK!
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 off topic: movies based on dancing SUCK! So says the one with the hypnotic avatar. Care to give examples?
Hawk 34 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 off topic: movies based on dancing SUCK! Footloose sucked?
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 "Chris. The Rocker" fucking hell.
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 off topic: movies based on dancing SUCK! So says the one with the hypnotic avatar. Care to give examples? whatever the hell that movie was they just showed previews to...oh and Alizee makes me hot! examples: Dirty Dancing Dirty Dancing Havanna Nights Honey (except for Jessica Alba) You Got Served From Justin To Kelly Dance With Me edit: sorry Hawk, I hated Footloose!
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Geez, scare the kid for life... Something different? If it were Chicken Little saying it, I'd be worried. But...for Chris... I'm looking forward to what he'll do.
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 he kinda sounds like "dude from Live singing a Johnny Cash song"
Hawk 34 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 He turned Walk the Line, into a fucking ballad. Get off the show. It wasn't bad or horrible or anything. I'm just growing apathetic to him.
Yuna_Firerose Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Why does it seem he's getting the most obscure camera angles, flashiest lights, etc? ...Or maybe I just like bloo lights so much... Subdued performance, which makes it all the more powerful, I think. You're waiting for that big note... And there it was, at lights that want to blind you. A bit off-key, but overall very good. Didn't oversing it or anything.
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I forgot this was on tonight. Blah, only one elimination per week makes it boring. Still so many people to weed out.
RavishingRickRudo Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Well that was pretty darn good. The ending was tremendous, the first part had me goin "Hey, what ever happened to Live?" Isn't this what the dude did on that INXS show? Continually change the song and adapt it for himself?
Black Lushus Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 the thing is, Hawk, at least he made it his own, which these judges constantly preach...his own wasn't that good, but hey, at least he heeds their advice.
