spman 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 I know it's only been about 7 or 8 months since the last draft since WWE did it so late last year, but do you think that WWE should do more rostr change ups this year? I think the main event positions on both shows are fine, especially after Angle was shuffled back to Smackdown, but if they do decide to do a draft this year, who do you think would benefit most from the move? I would say Move to Smackdown Shawn Michaels Kane Eugene Ric Flair Chavo Move to RAW Rey Mysterio JBL Lashly Ken Kennedy Boogeyman What do you think?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 wasn't it once implied that it would be a yearly thing to start after every WM?
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Meltz also alluded to it by talking about Rey moving over in June.Last I checked, that time=draft.
Guest Fook Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Should they do one? I don't see the need right now. They have enough fresh main event matches on both brands to keep them going for at least until Survivor Series. Will they do one? Of course they will. I just hope they actually make it random this time instead of only upper card guys being swapped.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 wait, it makes perfect sense now: Rey wins the world title, HHH prolly likes big goldie better PLUS Rey is super over, Rey goes to Raw while Cena goes back to SD and keeps his spinner belt, HHH kills Rey at Summerslam...I GET IT! USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 I always assumed that if this was true; the idea was to have Rey either win the belt at Mania and drop it to Orton or back to Angle at Judgment Day then get drafted OR he simply just comes up short in Mania and a possible JD rematch. Then goes to Raw for a "career rejuvenation" that sees him get punked out by Hunter who would point out the obvious flaws in Rey that essentially reburies Rey. Enigma 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 I remember they did the first Draft Lottery in an effort to save Smackdown from the departure of Brock Lesnar. Let's see who they got: -- Mark Jindrak -- Rene Dupree -- Triple H -- Rob Van Dam -- Teddy Long -- Spike Dudley Mark Jindrak? Released in July 2005. Rene Dupree? Traded back to Raw in July 2005. Triple H? Traded back to Raw immediately. Rob Van Dam? Drafted by Raw in June 2005. Teddy Long? Became General Manager in August 2004. Spike Dudley? Released in July 2005. No wonder Smackdown stayed in such rotten shape. 2005 wasn't any different as 2 of the 5 guys they got (Christian and Muhammad Hassan) are gone and Batista can't seem to stop being injured. justcoz 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Can TNA/ROH and OVW be in the draft? They should do an online indie wrestler draft and make it all NFL-like. Would at least be a good way to introduce new talent.

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted February 22, 2006 They should blow up the brand split. Too many people are getting hurt due their brand "needing them" for star power. The stars need way more time off, and tehy can swing it if they nix the split.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Edge needs to get sent to Smackdown and be allowed to be the top heel there, not lurk in HHH's shadow. Just for the sake of saying so, here's who I'd move come LOTTERY time (that was for you, Spoon!) RAW to SD: -Edge -Chris Masters -Shelton Benjamin -John Cena -Kane SD to RAW: -JBL -Undertaker -Booker T. I'm really not sure who else should move to RAW from SD!, but I'd leave Kennedy and Rey intact. JBL, UT and Booker have feuded with pretty much everyone on the brand, and should be sent to Mondays. Cena works on SD! since they can pipe in crowd noise or edit his bad matches. Kane's can go over and be rejuvenated, Masters can get new feuds and a possibly larger push, and maybe Shelton would be allowed to break out if they ever ditch the Mama shit. So then, on RAW, you'd have Triple H, JBL, Undertaker basically isolated to one brand, while fresher talent gets a chance to work with Benoit, Angle, etc. on Smackdown. I'd take an uppercard roster of Benoit, Angle, Orton, Rey, Edge, Kane and Kennedy any day of the week.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 But, but, but ... what about the tag titles on Raw if you move Kane?!? They're so crucial to that show! I'd like it if they made one show very 'gimmick-laden' and the other more wrestling-laden. They'd never do that, but it'd be nice if they did.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Kane and Big Show won't (shouldn't?) have the tag titles by then. At least I'd hope not. I could see one of the SD tag teams being sent to RAW in the "trade". Something like The Dicks for Tomko and Cade, or something like that. Although they'd get the Heartbreakers treatment anyways. Another horribly misused team, those Dicks.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 22, 2006 Move Shawn to Smackdown when he comes back as a full timer (and he will) and program him, Kurt, Benoit and Taker in various combinations until the end of time

He's already done forever as a ME'er. People can continue to see him as a loser on SD.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2006 One problem, the people you listed going to Raw would only = HHH alone. Not if Rey Rey is the undisputed champion of the WWE and if MNM is the unified tag team champions. Business will pick up when HHH has the Evolution DX reunion on Smackdown surely that alone will pick up the ratings for network television. That way HHH can claim that he saved Smackdown from being cancelled.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2006 If a tag team that has won like 20 tag titles and a "5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time WCW champion" COMBINED net only HHH, then surely a cruiserweight guy and a young semi-unproven tag team won't.
