Si82 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/hofonusa WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2006 induction ceremony to air on USA Network On April 1, the night before WrestleMania 22, WWE will welcome its Class of 2006 into the WWE Hall of Fame. Tickets went on sale for the huge event Saturday morning at 10 a.m. CT, and in less than five minutes, it was sold out. But you’ll still be able to witness this historic occasion because the USA Network will be airing the ceremony, Saturday, April 1 at 11/10 p.m. CT. The first two names announced for this year’s induction are Bret “Hit Man” Hart and the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Tune in to RAW tonight at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to find out who will be the next addition to the Class of 2006.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Good, now I won't have to buy the DVD of the event. I'm looking forward to the Hall of Fame to see if they handle it with class or go WWE stupid with it.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 It starts at 10 PM? That's weird. Also, last year's event didn't sell out anywhere near as quickly. I would love to go since my all time favorite wrestler, Bret Hart, and Eddie Guerrero are being inducted, but I'm choosing to attend Ring of Honor to see Lance Storm's return instead. claydude14 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 "Saturday, April 1 at 11/10 p.m. CT." So it's 11 EST, 10 CT. Meaning, the Hall of Fame is gonna go head to head with Impact. And probably crush it.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Isn't Impact moving to Thursday by then? Or around that time.

Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Ok. So, probably the last Impact on Saturday. Or 2nd last. WWE will crush them. Oh well.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 I'd really hate to see Jackie Gayda & Friends outdraw Bret Hart's potential farewell speech. It won't. Trust me on that. However I have not watched any of the Hall of Fame specials and don't plan on starting this year either.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 I was kind of worried that USA wouldnt and they'd be forced to webcast it like they do Heat/Velocity which would mean I wouldnt get to see it on account of my slow connection.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Why is it on a Saturday? Who watches anything wrestling related on a Saturday? I don't care if it is the day before WM.
buffybeast 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 I went to the Hall of Fame in 1997 and had an awesome time. Of course, the popularity of the business has changed drastically since then. I'll probably watch that until Samoa Joe makes an appearance on TNA.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 Why is it on a Saturday? Who watches anything wrestling related on a Saturday? I don't care if it is the day before WM. I guess you weren't around, when everything wrestling wise was saturday and it was all over the networks on saturday? Which also happened to be wrestling at it's first boom. Yeah, really...who watches wrestling on saturday. That'd NEVER work.
Guest Flockmember37 Report post Posted February 27, 2006 I was lucky enough to get a ticket. I couldn't get anything on the floor though, within minutes ticketmaster was totally sold out of floor seats, and the 2 i snagged were the last two possible. I hate how there's all the tables of wrestlers in tuxedos and what have you, then you see a crowd full of people in wrestling t-shirts and jeans.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Does anyone know if USA is just giong to air certain inductions like Spike did last year or will they air the entire thing?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Does anyone know if USA is just giong to air certain inductions like Spike did last year or will they air the entire thing? I'd imagine USA is going to air the whole thing. With Spike it just seemed like they were showing Hogan and screw the rest. But there are only going to be like, what? Four inductees? Two hours would handle it. Hell, hour and a half should be able to handle it.
Guest Fook Report post Posted February 28, 2006 So it seems Mean Gene is being inducted too. At this point, the HOF show is looking eons better than Wrestlemania is.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Edit: I'm hoping the 2006 HOF on DVD will be on its own. Last year's HOF DVD was disappointing since it was extraless.

The 2004 dvd was on it's own.....I do think you mean 2006, and I hope so as well. I would assume since the inductions of both Bret and Eddie into the hall of fame, would be enough to sell the dvd to just about any wrestling fan.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2006 Wasn't last year's induction ceremony also on PPV? No, Spike TV aired Piper's and Hogan's induction and that was it. 2004 - Never aired on anything and was just released on DVD. Great ceremony, worth the money. 2005- Hogan and Piper's induction aired on tv and everything else got on a Wrestlemania 21 bonus dvd. Ceremoney was ok, 2004's was better.
