Not surprisingly, another heavy promo post-PPV show. One or two segments missing at the time of this posting.

 

R-E-S-P-E-C-T. We found out what it means to Zack. But Axel, the GM, gets the final word. Haven't read the ZH ME, so the references to COD went over my head. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Zack loses the title in his trip to Japan.

 

Hmm, is a face turn in the works for Bo? Interesting.

 

Didn't we just have a dress up segment not that long ago? Either way, the overuse of the word corporate was amusing. Had flashbacks to Ahmed Johnson chanting "you're goin' down" at Faarooq many years ago near the end.

 

Big thanks to Patty for bailing my NNMX promo out of the gutter. I pretty much spent every bit of energy I had on the Sooner Bruisers interview later on that I had little left for the tag champs.

 

Imagining the CW-Alix debate as it were occurring live on TV made the segment that much better. Alix's put downs were hilarious, especially the Pet-Smart and OBGYN one-liners. I can't imagine why Alix would pick Snoop Dogg as moderator, though. Then again, why has she grown so attached to gay luchadors?

 

Good TV ME. Reject's heel turn was handled well.

Yeah, I finished the match at like 10 last night, reviewed it, and then sent it in just as you logged off. That bummed me out alot. Thanks for editing in.

 

And now some CORPORATE feedback~!:

 

-I am liking the Zack Malibu: HI-YAH Champion storyline so far. I honestly have no idea what's going to happen next, and that's a good thing. I know Zack has to be at AngleMania, but just *who* will he face and if he'll even be in the country for AM is the question. Kudos to a good storyline thus far.

 

-I too get the feeling that Bohemoth is going to turn face soon.

 

-PK's gonna defend the World Title twice before AngleMania? All right then. I wonder who his opponents will be?

 

-The Lightning Crew Parody was AWESOME. Great job, KC! You got each character down pat. PRL overusing the word Corporate, Cuban Wall being a closeted homosexual, Lindsay being a slut, Vitamin X being an annoying spazz, Mr. Boricua being a big dumb musclehead, Thomas Rodriguez being a coward. I loved it. I was indeed LOLing while reading it. Excellent work. Leon going through all those catchphrases at the end was a nice touch. I hoped you liked the Triple Threat 24/7 Title Match as well.

 

-I like the song "Right Now", so I'm fine with it being the theme song for AngleMania V. The lyrics really do fit with the show now that I actually read the lyrics.

 

-Good New New Midnight Express promo to build to the World Tag Team Title Match at AngleMania V.

 

-Hoff is on HeldDOWN~! Glad to see he's on the show again after disappearing sometime back. And it looks like he's definitely staying for the time being since he's got a Street Fight with Tony Brannigan next week. I can't wait to read that one since it should be awesome.

 

-Is there going to be a new AngleMania V commercial this year to replace the Donald Trump one from AngleMania IV? Not that the commercials bad, it's just that I think there should be a new one for the fifth anniversary AngleMania. Plus we already used The Classiest AngleMania Ever subtitle for AngleMania IV. My suggestion for this year's subtitle? Five Years In The Making.

 

-The Louisville Slugger segment was good. I thought for sure that the Sooner Bruisers were going to join Jim Cornette after what they did at Zero Hour, but they surprised me by staying face. Although, I can't help but think that they will turn heel sometime soon, quite possibly after AngleMania, which could work out well if the Heavenly Rockers win the Tag Titles. Give them their first challengers to the titles. I thought the GPX were going to turn heel after losing the Anderson Cup last year, and it turns out I was right, although I was a little off on when they would turn heel. We shall see with The Sooner Bruisers.

 

-Nice Colombian Heat promo KC. I liked Heat quoting "Gold Digger" at the end. Rizzenge. Ha! That's great. So is jigger, for that matter. The Leon Rodez promo was good too.

 

-The debate between Alix and Christian Wright was awesome. Having Snoop Dogg be the moderator was boss. So many great lines from both Alix and Wright. I liked how Christian kept getting Snoop's name wrong. Snoop Dogg and Alix clotheslining Christian over the top rope was the perfect way to end the segment. One of the best segments Patty O' Green has ever written.

 

-The Heartland Title Match was pretty good. I've been following the Thunderkid and Reject storyline, but Reject's heel turn still caught me off guard. It came out of nowhere for me. The beatdown was nice, especially Reject hitting The Eulogy on Thunderkid through the announcer's table. That part was sweet. I guess this means Thunderkid vs. Reject at AngleMania V, right?

 

This was a good show. There were only two matches on the show, but the promos and the other segments were so awesome, especially The Lightning Crew Parody and the debate between Alix and Christian Wright, that they made up for it. I can't believe there's only 5 weeks left until AngleMania V. God damn has this year gone by fast.

 

I can't wait for next week's show. Alot of great storylines are moving alone quite nicely on the Road To AngleMania V.

Anyway, I should leave some very brief observations and what not.

 

So Zack really is being shipped off to Japan! I'd be interested to see how he builds to his AM Match (whatever it is) while being in a totally different hemisphere.

 

I think already told KC what I thought of his Bo segment, but I liked it. I think that's the most I've ever heard (read?) Bo say.

 

Just who will PK's world title challengers be? A returning Popick? One of the Upstarts? Former tag team partner The Parka? Motley Crue's Mick Mars? I personally am holding out hope for Mars. SHOUT AT THE DEVILLLLLL!

 

The LC spoof was purrrrdy cute. I LOLed at Jade(as Lindsay) graphically describing Leon's (as PRL) sexual prowess. What must Mama Rodez have thought watching that? Leon's really meshed well with that whole group of ex-LC members, and EWC and KC are putting out some solid stuff together. And the 24/7 title match later on was a perfect example of that.

 

Hey, Hoff is back! I'm looking forward to the street fight as it should be a huge match. So are we gonna have two street fights next week? There's this announced one between Hoff and Mr.T, and then there's the Latino Thug one.

 

If I had had more time I probably could've done a lot more the NNMX bit. But as it stands I think 149 and I put out a decent little piece of writing given our time restraints.

 

Frank Frankensteiner has incredible self restraint. I expected a profanity laced tirade out of him, instead he was reasonably clam. A solid promo all in all.

 

Reject finally turned to the darkside. I'd be interested in hearing his exact explanation because, aside from beating him for the Heartland title shot, TK's been pretty cool to him despite Reject being an enormous dick half the time.

 

Thanks for the compliments on the debate, ya'll! I didn't think it would turn out all that well.

D'oh! You're right. I thought the finals to the Anderson Cup last year was GPX vs. Chicks Over Dicks, but that actually took place at AngleMania IV. The Anderson Cup finals was GPX vs. Black T which GPX won. Still, I thought that the GPX were going to turn heel in the buildup to the AngleMania IV match. They did turn heel, it just wasn't at AngleMania IV.
