The Czech Republic Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Besides being a popular centrist former governor from a large state, what does Mr. Bayh have going for him exactly? I'm curious. Indiana is a large state?
Big Ol' Smitty Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I hope Feingold will consider running. By all accounts it's pretty much a done deal, and I'll be voting for him, I'm sure (and not just because he's from Wisconsin.) Put me down for Feingold as well, with Mark Warner a distant second.
CheesalaIsGood Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Why is everybody looking past Bush when he has years left on his term? Hmmmmm? HMMMMMMMM!
Dr. Zaius Posted March 18, 2006 Author Report Posted March 18, 2006 Besides being a popular centrist former governor from a large state, what does Mr. Bayh have going for him exactly? I'm curious. Indiana is a large state? I think it is 16th in terms of population, thus making it bigger than 34 other states. Not as large as few others, but bigger than most.
The Czech Republic Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Screw Indiana, and its clusterfuck time zones, non-descript capital (Indianoplace), and shithole industrial sector in the northwest corner.
SuperJerk Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Screw Indiana, and its clusterfuck time zones, non-descript capital (Indianoplace), and shithole industrial sector in the northwest corner. This exact wording should be used in Republican TV spots if Bayh gets the Democratic nomination.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 It's Indianasspolice, thank you very much. By the way, the industrial/hood section up around Chicago is nowhere near as frightening as southern Indiana. I'd walk the streets of Gary at 3:00AM before I'd ever go into a Seymour gas station again.
gWIL Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 What's the story about the gas station? I think South Bend's crime rate is right around Gary's any more. Home sweet home, South Bend. Screw Indiana, and its clusterfuck time zones, non-descript capital (Indianoplace), and shithole industrial sector in the northwest corner. More like screw our dumbass governor. Indy is very descript: bland. Our shithole industrial sector in the northwest has... umm, stuff. The moral of the story, Indiana would kick your ass in a fight
SuperJerk Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 This town needs an enema. Speaking of things needing enemas... Gore not an '08 presidential candidate... for now MURFREESBORO, Tennessee (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore said Monday he's not planning to run for president in 2008 but hasn't ruled out a future in politics. "I'm enjoying what I'm doing," Gore told an audience at Middle Tennessee State University, where he gave a lecture on global warming, one in a series. "I'm not planning to be a candidate again. I haven't reached a stage in my life where I'm willing to say I will never consider something like this," he said. "But I'm not saying that to be coy; I'm just saying that to be honest -- that I haven't reached that point." Gore, a Democrat, lost the electoral vote to George W. Bush in 2000 in one of the closest presidential elections in history. Some Democrats still keep him in mind for another presidential run, according to several early polls on potential candidates. Since his loss, Gore, who turns 58 next week, has occasionally delivered speeches on global warming and other political issues, often criticizing Bush policies. He also co-founded a television network, Current TV, which started in August and mostly features documentaries by young filmmakers. "An Inconvenient Truth," a documentary on Gore's global warming awareness campaign, premiered this year. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/03/21/gor...h.ap/index.html I'm only posting this because SOMEONE needed to throw his name out there.
