Positively Kanyon Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 The UK bans our tourism ad because of the word 'Bloody' Canada bans the ad because of the word 'Hell' And the United States bans the ad because the guy at the pub is drinking an 'unidentified beer' or so I've read. Seriously... I'm not having a personal shot at the folks here on the forum, but what is wrong with some people up there. 'Bloody hell' is a very common saying here in Australia. I can't believe those fat cats in the government have created such a controversy over this. It's a harmless ad trying to get you guys to come visit our country!
Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted March 26, 2006 Report Posted March 26, 2006 Stewth Mate! Those bloody dropkicks have fair dinkum lost the plot. But seriously, some people are just fucked in the head, but it may end up doing more good than harm. Because instead of being your average run of the mill tourism ad, it will now be seen as a controversial ad and may get more people interested in Australia.
Adam Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 This controversy is the best possible thing that could have happened for the campaign.
tommytomlin Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Australia's new tourism campaign that has too many swears for the civilised world to handle.
Slayer Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Stewth Mate! Those bloody dropkicks have fair dinkum lost the plot. English speaking country, my ass
Positively Kanyon Posted March 29, 2006 Author Report Posted March 29, 2006 At least he didn't use 'throw another shrimp on the barbie' or then we'd be in trouble!
