Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Really interested in seeing Storm vs Dragon. Storm ought to bring some freshness to the ROH ring and Dragon is one of fav wrestlers.
Guest The Showcase Report post Posted April 2, 2006 WOW, AmDrag-Storm was NOT ME? Well, being that Homicide/Colt had a Dreamer/Raven type of feel to it (Homicide always getting the better of Colt), having the Chicago Street Fight as the main event with Colt Cabana finally getting his win over Homicide in his hometown was probably the better choice as the main event. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 It would have been impossible for Storm/Danielson to follow the mega-blow off for Cabana/Homicide, which was an epic feud for ROH. It was Colt's hometown and the match was insanely brutal by all accounts and the ring was buried in chairs and barbed wire. They used alchohol soaked forks as well. Confetti came down for Cabana who danced for the first time in months. There's no way you can follow that up with a technical match. By alot of reports, The main event and the Gen Next/Blood Generation were the MOTN's. Other interesting notes -Adam Pearce was named ROH Head of Security. He spent the night walking around the arena with a chair to ware off CZW invaders -Delirious cut what was said to be a hilarious gibberish promo -Dragon mocked Joe's weight as they continue to build up to their showdown
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2006 Any word on how good Storm-Dragon was? “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson retains the title against Lance Storm. This match was what we all thought it would be: no flash, just straight up ass kickin’ and pure wrestling! Assloads of red and white streamers for the man from Calgary (dramatic pause) Albert, Canada. Deafening “welcome back” chants and when he got on offence “you still got it” chants. The champ and the former Impact Player traded chops on the outside. This match was too back and forth to get it all down. At about 15:00, Storm locked on the maple leaf but Danielson made it to the ropes. Throughout almost the whole match, the crowd chanted “Let’s go Dragon” and “Let’s go Storm”, with the Storm chants being noticeably louder. Danielson locked on the chickenwing in the middle of the ring but Storm got to the ropes and hit a superkick! 1-2-NO! Danielson flattens Storm with a monsterous top rope backdrop. Storm escapes a more dramatic chickenwing and avoids a top rope headbutt. Storm then hits a cradle piledriver and puts on his own Maple Leaf! Danielson barely escapes that, then nails Storm with a textbook tiger suplex from behind and holds on, flipping into cattle mutilation! Storm taps! Epic “thank you” chants and “please come back”! What a phenomenal title affair, shorter and more action packed than the awesome 55 minute title defense from last night. Credit goes to the RoH message board, and to Botmaster4lyfe. The Buzz 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2006 I was there for the second chicago show, and it was just as good as the detroit show for me. It was cool to see Storm since I want to attend his wrestling school, and judging by last nights match that will be a good choice on my part. Everything flowed well at the show

RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 Was supposed to go to both ROH shows but I could not find the fucking arena for the life of me. There was construction all over the place, making it even harder than usual I would imagine.
