Twisted Intestine Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 In our last poll, more people were afraid of Great White Sharks than Grizzly Bears, with a score of 19-11. Now it's time to decide which is more frightening.. vs
Hoff Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Hornets terrify me. Hornets, wasps, yellowjackets, even plain ol' honeybees. I like bumblebees, though, although their noise will send me running.
Twisted Intestine Posted April 11, 2006 Author Report Posted April 11, 2006 I was riding my bike years ago, and looked over at my shoulder to see a giant spruce bug sitting on it. Ever since then I've been terrified of them. I haven't ever got bitten, but apparently they can take a nice chunk out.
iggymcfly Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I didn't even know what a spruce bug was before seeing this poll, so I'm going to have to vote for hornets.
Guest StylesMark Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 These are the best thing to happen to HD, well, since me. Hornets, man.
Gary Floyd Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 Hornets, because I don't have any bad childhood experiences involving Spruce Bugs.
KGB Posted April 11, 2006 Report Posted April 11, 2006 I never heard of spruce bugs before, either, but I've certainly had my share of bad experiences with hornets. Last summer, one went right under my shirt and stung me pretty good around the shoulder. Damned prick.
Guest StylesMark Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 I'd say spruce bugs was a bad choice.
Vampiro69 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 I will vote Hornet, since I have never dealt with a Spruce Bug before.
Special K Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Those bugs are pathetic. Now a big cockroach or a large spider? That'll turn me into a quivering wreck. Well, not really, only if they get into my home. It's one of the primary reasons I like ths primarily cold climate here. Down in N.O, there were fucking roaches (and fire ants) like CRAZY. ONCE, and roach got into my dorm room, and I seriously lost my shit. I HATE those fucking things, they terrify me. Thank God I've never lived where camel spiders are native. I would've never slept. I guess I'll vote for a spruce bug, because it's big, and it sucks blood, right? Hornets are pretty benign, though they fucking love picnic food. They'll only sting you if you fucki with 'em.
Star Ocean 3 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Hornets are extremely easy, just use Gravity Well.

The camel spider is overrated.
Twisted Intestine Posted April 12, 2006 Author Report Posted April 12, 2006 I had a hornet in my pop can once, stang my tounge and hurt like a bitch. Then my father yelled at me for drooling on the floor, when I went inside to get a napkin. So really, I've had bad experiences with both of them. I'd just much rather crush a hornet than a spruce bug. I wouldn't even want to touch the spruce bug.
Special K Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 The camel spider is overrated. No, it's really not.
Star Ocean 3 Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 Holy crap, I just found out you can use Twin Slasher to cut the spider's web. *goes to test it out*

Pussy. Cockroaches are completely harmless, and spiders only attack if they feel threatened. Not only that, camel spiders aren't venomous.
