Movies that everyone loves that you cannot get the love for

Here's one that I'd like explained. It's by no means the BEST MOVIE EVER, but I think it's a really good way to spend 2 hours. Depp has an awesome performance from top to bottom, and everyone else does a commendable job as well. Fine that it's your opinion, but I'm really curious. I can't think of anyone I personally know who doesn't like it.

Almost Famous. The good parts were really good but more than half the movie just dragged for me. Everyone I know loves it and I've seen it mentioned in numerous greatest movies threads on the net. Some people argue the soundtrack is great, yes ok but a great soundtrack doesn't make a great movie.
