ECW Coming Back Full Time in Sept

Out late during the weekends? Still want to stay current with what’s happening on RAW? No problem, we’ve got just the thing for you.

WWE A.M. RAW will be moving to a new timeslot, and will be airing at 2 a.m. on Saturday night (Sunday morning). But that’s not the only change. The rating for the show will be changing as well. “Before we had a PG rating,” commented Mark Hamilton, the show’s producer. “But the new show will be TV 14, which is the same as RAW, so we’ll be able to deliver content that we wouldn’t have been able to before.”

Whether it’s the gorgeous Divas you’re a fan of or the lengths the Superstars will go to to stay on top, this new time slot will allow the program to keep you abreast of absolutely everything that happens on RAW.

With the combination of the new time and the edgier rating, A.M. RAW is the perfect show for WWE fans that are out late on the weekends and still want their fair share of WWE programming. “We’re looking forward to being able to deliver another quality product to a newer and older audience,” said Hamilton.

Make sure you’re up to date and in the know every week, tune into A.M. RAW every Saturday at 2 a.m. (Sunday morning) on the USA Network. "

Doesn't say anything about ECW, but makes you wonder if they officially got that slot.

Wonder if they'll show the production meetings where Triple H shoots down any idea to put over a new talent?

The decision might not have been made, at least at USA, to give the AM Raw slot to ECW, but this is clearly laying the groundwork for that slot to go to ECW. If USA haven't yet decided on giving the slot to the ECW show, then this could be USA's way of testing the waters, by putting something in that slot that is a little riskier than is usually there.

From PWInsider:

The original airing of AM Raw did a 0.4 cable rating, with a 1.1 share. As has been the recent case lately, the 2 a.m. replay did a better number, scoring a 1.1 cable rating, with a 4.6 share. Boy, wouldn't that be a great slot for an ECW show?

So the 2 AM replay has been around for a while, and it outdraws TNA. Fishy that they would have an annoucement just about it's moving to 2 AM with a TV14 rating, when it's been playing at 2AM for a while now. It HAS to be their plan for ECW.

Well, I think the announcement was more because the rating changed. I've watched A.M. Raw before at 2am and they do cut a lot of stuff out. For example, when Trish first dressed up as Mickie James, they made sure not to show any thong shots. They also don't seem to show blood.

Yeah, I actually watch the AM Raw at the original airing, and it's very cut. No blood, minimal cursing... if any... I can't recall specifics. It's your generic replay show.

This announcement is mainly going to be the ratings change.

Why the hell would RAW AM have to be cut? If anything you'd think that time slot would allow for more lurid footage, considering Comedy Central does the "Uncut from the Vault" stuff every saturday night.

The original AM RAW airs at 10 am MST. So with kids flipping through the channels it'll be cut. Why go and uncut the re-airing just because it's on at 2 am?

Now it looks like they are going to bother and show an uncut recap show.
