Holly has had a pretty long career, so it wouldn't be a shame if he retired at this point. He's actually accomplished way more than anyone would've figured ten years or so ago.

Didn't Sparky Plug debut in 1993 or so. Who would have ever thought that this guy would have lasted so long in the WWE. Unreal.

I THINK his official debut was in the 1994 Royal Rumble. He was an alternate for the injured 1-2-3 Kid.

Funny thing...one Nitro when Bischoff was reading off pre-taped Raw results: he said when Bob Holly was mentioned "That guy's still around?"

There's something funny about people saying that it's karma that came back to haunt Holly, and seemingly are pleased that he's (potentially life-threateningly) sick.

Umm, not to point out the obvious, but that same karma could & would come back to bite you all in the ass for taking such pleasure in his illness.

If people are so into wrestling that they'd rather see a man stay sick, or even die, than be able to come back and live a normal, healthy life, maybe it's time they re-evaluated their love of this fake little 'sport'.

People are still mindful about his very real beating of Matt Cappotelli on Tough Enough 3. I don't think it's necessarily a wrestling thing. I think it's a thing where people have no remorse about a guy who legitimately beat the shit out of a kid who was only guilty of wanting to become a wrestler. Wrestling is only a technicality on the Bob Holly hate. He has a history of taking advantage of greenhorns and beating the fuck out of them because they know they won't fight back. I think that's what it is.

Most people wished him well, they (including myself) don't want him back in the ring. Lets face it, living a "normal, heathly life," isn't a day to day thing for a pro wrestler.

I'll say one nice thing about Bob Holly:

I enjoyed the New Midnight Express...I thought they were a very good tag team, and had a great match against the New Age Outlaws on that one pay-per-view (King of the Ring '98, I want to say).

There, I said it.

IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMNIT!

Really though, if you do believe in karma, wish him a full recovery.

I liked the NME too. Just without the Holly hair all over the place.

Plus I mark for the Alabama Slam. That bitch, owns.

I hated the NME and their match against the NAO at KOTR could be used as a cure for insomina.
