Scott Erickson's warming up. When's the last time a team trailed by double digits twice in the same game?

They haven't trailed by double digits yet. It was 9-0, then 10-1.

I take your meaning, though.

Arod with a weak fucking grounder on a 2-0 pitch to make it 2nd and 3rd with 1 out for the Yankees.

Edit

Jorge with a sac fly to tie the game again at 12.

No need to watch the 30 minutes of Sporstcenter this will occupy:

Bonds tonight: 2-4, 3 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 HBP, still stuck on 713 (though he came within about 5 feet of getting one). Russ Springer and Phil Garner got tossed in the 5th for plunking him.

I will seriously smile if Bonds stays stuck at 713 and gets another boo-boo and never gets #714. Then we just wait about a few more years (at this pace) for Pujols or A-Rod to honestly pass the babe.

Pujols won't pass Bonds. He won't have the protection, and he'll be walked more than Barry.

Of course, the Reds wait until the 8th and the looming threat of calling the game to start cranking homers.

Why won't they call the game? It's 7-3, pouring buckets and they spent 15 minutes fixing the puddles and only 5 of the usual 25 Pirates fans are in attendence.

So you looked into the future and saw that Pujols won't have any protection for the rest of his career?

Yeah, that's what my crystal ball told me. Realistically though, he won't. And when I say something like the post you quoted, that's an opinion.

I feel that he won't pass Bonds. That's just what I think.

At any rate, what are Albert and Alex's career projections for home runs? I have to think A-Rod is a serious threat. Yeah, I know we thought Griffey and not Bonds, would be the guy contending for the record. So who knows, maybe it ends up being Manny getting 700 after a late career surge.

Also, if Griffey was in Bonds's place...The country would be all abuzz about it.

As for Pujols/Rodriguez, I think the Bonds' watch is demonstrating that 755 isn't as easy as it looks. You never know what'll happen, especially considering Pujols is still over 500 home runs away!

Which is why I pointed out how everyone was so sure that Griffey Jr would pass Hank but we can never predict years of constant injuries.

Down 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth Jeff Francoeur ties it with a solo shot. Down 3-2 in the bottom of the 11th Andruw doubles in the tying run and then Matt Diaz drives in Andruw for a 4-3 Braves win. Three come from behind wins in four days. Go Braves.

Thank you for making what I intended to be my point.

Phils lose thanks to Ryan Franklin's throwing error.

Aren't most pitches he throws considered throwing errors?
