ECW gets a normal time slot

Add Richard Dean Anderson to color commentary and Edward James Olmos as GM for the night and it would be the greatest RAW ever.

 

Plus the staredown between Adama and McMahon would end with Vince's head exploding.

So now that we know the first two WWE stars to jump to ECW--Angle and RVD--and guesses/wishes on who else would? I'm think that Super Crazy and Nunzio will, just to get old ECW names in. Other than that, the only guys I can think of that could use a fresh start and still make good contributions would be Hass, Kendrick, and London. So of course they won't get traded!

Too many guys but I'd say Super Crazy, Matt Hardy, Joey Mercury, Steve Regal, Jamie Noble, Kid Kash, Charlie Haas, Matt Stryker, Nick Dinsmore, Doug Basham and Stevie Richards. Maybe a stint down the road for someone like Ric Flair (perhaps one last match w/ Terry Funk or Dusty Rhodes), Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

They should have never announced ECW as a third brand. It kills the whole 'rebel promotion' notion when Vince McMahon's face is plastered on their website. And you can't really have Styles or RVD take shots at the WWE anymore since they're owned by the company.

 

And having Angle part of the promotion dosen't make sense. It's a downgrade for him if he's going to end up feuding with guys like CM Punk for the ECW title, no matter how good the matches may be.

I think Angle makes perfect sense. If Heyman is handling most of the booking, Angle, for the first time in his career, gets pushed as a legitimate bad ass wrestling machine. Hopefully they will can the 'You Suck' music. His ring style can be more mat based and shoot fighter-like. He doesn't have to wrestle on every house show and if he does appear they are mostly on the east coast near his home town. That makes for less demands on his body from the heavy travel. I'm sure there will be plenty of people on the ECW roster that Angle can have good matches with and I hardly consider it a downgrade considering the shape of Smackdown these days. Plus, if Angle wins the ECW Title, would that make him the first WWE, WCW (i'm pretty sure he won that title during the invasion angle) and ECW champion?

I'm sure Heyman will use him well. He's wanted Angle ever since the Raven/Sandman Crucifix controversy.

Is the special next Wednesday being shown live in the UK?

-Wednesday's ECW vs. WWE TV special will air on 6/7 on Sky Sports 3 in the U.K. from 1-3 a.m. One Night Stand airs on Sky 1 at 1 a.m. on 6/11. ECW will then start on 6/18 airing on Sunday nights in the U.K. in the current Velocity time slot.
