SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2006 So is That 80's Show making a return next season? "It's a portable phone!" Didn't That 80's Show star the dad of Unhappily Ever After? Sadly, yes. Oh, come on....I can't be the only one who liked "Unhappily Ever After". You got to love a show that's self-aware of its own low quality.

justcoz 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2006 It's too bad FOX had to do That 80's Show because it would have been the logical spin-off of That 70's Show. Hyde could have spoken out against Regeanomics and been into heavy metal, Jackie could have big hair, we'd have new wave Fez. It could have easily worked but instead they made that crappy 80's show. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2006 No, it would've sucked. I doubt they wanted to do the show for much longer anyway
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2006 There was an episode where Eric wishes he'd never fell in love with donna, and he's visited by an angel that show's him what life would be like. We get to see everyone in the 80's, including new wave Fez.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted May 21, 2006 Unhappily was fucking great because it was a low rent version of Married With Children Excatly, and you had the stuffed bunny. Wasn't the bunny there because the dad was schizophrenic? That's actually kinda cool.

Wasn't the bunny there because the dad was schizophrenic? That's actually kinda cool. I actually don't remember the actual episode where they explain Mr. Floppy. I think he was the oldest son's old stuffed animal and Jack kept it around for whatever reason and Jack started hearing the bunny talk to him. But I'm not sure if he was a scizophrenic (thats a big word) or not.

Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2006 I thought Unhappily was an ok show. I watched the show whenever it was on. Of course that was because I was 17 and seeing Nikki Cox in revealing outfits made the show.

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2006 I remember seeing a couple episodes of "That '80s Show" and thinking it was decent. Not great, but no worse than most shows on FOX around that time. It seemed like the show had some decent potential, and I'm kind of surprised FOX killed it so quickly. Frankly, a lot of the early episodes of "That '70s Show" were no better...lots of time specific humor and slang, but thin on plot.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2006 I thought the one chick on that 80's show was teh hawt too. And I agree with your assessment. Fox really puts on a lot of bad shows though, so saying a show is better than those is a backhanded complement at best.

(actually my old spanish teacher junior year kind of looked like fez so that was funny) great final episode i must say and agreat ender too. at least topher came back at the end. Randy does indeed suck and I too liked the 80s show damn fox for killing it and Undeclared in the same season

Fox really puts on a lot of bad shows though, so saying a show is better than those is a backhanded complement at best. Going to have to be specific. Brittany Daniel (materialistic friend), Chyler Leigh (punk coworker I believe), or Tinsley Grimes (goofy sister)? Yeah the show wasn't very good, but it had a few laughs, mainly supplied by Eddie Shin. As for Unhappily Ever After, I always thought the dad talked to the rabbit because the rabbit represented his subconscious (chain smoking, drinking) and was therefore the only one he could really talk to. The rabbit was the dad's release valve.
