DE-TROIT CAN SUCK MY BALLS!

Thank God we won't have to hear that annoying piece of shit in the Finals. It looks like Riley made the smart move trading most of the core players from last year afterall.

This will be the first year in ages without Lakers-Celtics-Pistons-Bulls-Spurs-Rockets!

Gotta love these "real" Miami fans sticking around to watch the presentation and booing the Pistons.

I also like when fans boo the team that took their's to 6 games, when the owner says they were a great team.

How does it feel to be the first player from that 2003 Draft class in the Finals?

I guess ESPN forgot the last two years when Darko was in the Finals

I'm sure this will lead to a zillion "SEE DETROIT SHUDOF DRAFTED WADE INSTED OF DARKO" remarks, as well.

Much like in the WWE, ESPN doesn't expect you to remember the details. As far as they're concerned that draft only had 'Bron, Wade & 'Melo.

Another thing I forgot is Dale Davis being on the Pistons...this was probably his last good chance at a ring, too.

Does Coach Squanders look almost purple or maroon to anyone else watching on ESPN right now?

He needs to be fired.

I'm shocked that with ESPN's love of the Lakers, they forgot about Luke Walton.

Especially considering that they employ his father.

I'd feel bad for Flip if he wasn't such a horrible playoffs coach. Actually, let me take that back, I do feel bad for him.

Tonight wasn't his fault, you can't blame the coach when the star player can't make a lay-up. Or a jumper. Or three straight three pointers when the lane is wide open for a drive in for two.

The Pistons just looked like a pile of monkey dong the whole series. They were giving chance after chance to score points and they couldn't do it. They just couldn't make baskets to save their lives in this series or the Cleveland series. It seemed like the offense and defense that was being set up was working, the players were just failing to execute.

I put more blame on 'Sheed than anyone else. He's the X factor on the team. Rip, Billups and Prince played pretty well at certain points throughout the series. Big Ben got exposed by the combination of leaving him out of the offense for quarters at a time, the Hack-A-Ben and he couldn't guard a two legged Shaq as well as he guarded the one legged one last year. When Rasheed played well this postseason the Pistons won. When he played like shit, so did the team. You just can't play offense 3 on 5 especially when you have no post presence whatsoever unless your PG is doing the posting.

Having said all that Flip, is terrible. The man looks lost out there in every big game.

All I need now is for Dallas to get it done, and I'll get to see my 3 favorite players in one series for all the marbles and either Dirk or Wade getting their first ring.

A pile of monkey dong?

Yes. A pile of monkey dicks. They were doing nothing but yap yap yap and each game they would go out, look like they weren't totally sure if scoring was needed at all in basketball and lose.

They played almost like they felt they didn't need to try to get to the Finals. Like it was just owed to them or something. If I was a Pistons fan, I'd be pissed. Nothing against the Heat cause they played a fantastic series but the performance tonight in the third-fourth quarter in a do or die game was horrible.

Wilbon said it best after the heat went up 3-1. This entire playoffs we've been waiting for the real Pistons to show up and it's time to admit they aren't going to show up.

Well looking back he was right. They never showed up.

Here is one thing being overlooked here: The Heat were the better team last year. Let's face it, Riley trading everyone and signing a bunch of new guys really didn't matter a hell of a lot either way. The fact is that when it came down to playing the Pistons this time they had a healthy Wade. Last year Wade was injured the last couple of games and the Pistons got a series win they didn't really deserve.

This will be the first finals in forever that will be actually worth seeing. I really haven't been interested in the NBA Finals since the Bulls were winning it. Since then the East has largely been mediocre/bad. Seriously, has there been a good finals of late? All 3 of the Lakers wins from 2000-2002 were lame, Spurs/Nets should never be discussed again, Lakers/Pistons was a bizarre non series, and last year's may have gone 7 but it was a truly terrible 7.

This year will be good and the teams will look fairly even going in. Heat/Mavs would be good, as would Heat/Suns.

Speak for yourself; this will be the first Finals since I first got into watching basketball in '88 that I *don't* think is worth watching... I mean, even during the Lakers' run, I had a team that I could root *against*, but out of the three teams left, there isn't a single possible outcome that I'd find satisfying...

It reminds me of the 2004 Presidential election: all of the candidates lick balls, but *somebody* has to win anyway.

Incorrect. The real Pistons DID show up. It's just that the real Pistons this year were arrogant and thought they could underachieve their way through the playoffs against "lesser" teams. The real Pistons are also poor offensively and that definitely showed tonight.

I do feel a little bad for Flip, myself. I know he's not the greatest coach or anything, but he's gonna get a ton of shit that he doesn't deserve this go-around. The fact is, the guys on the court let him down. Flip's not the one missing open lay-ups, air-balling FT's, or shooting 30% from the floor. Somewhere along the way, the players need to take some responsibility for the failure.

At least now, I'll be happy with whoever wins the Finals. I don't really want Payton or Cuban getting titles, but on the positive side, either Wade, Nash, or Dirk will get one. My desire for those 3 having success outweighs me wanting to see the others fail.

I think he was talking about the Pistons that murdered people over the regular season and were in the finals the last 2 years. Not the ones that had trouble with a team with really only one player(the cavs) and a bunch of old men(the heat).

Oh and cabbage he's right about speaking for yourself. I LOVED the Pistons/Lakers series and last year was entertaining as hell.

Last year's Finals sucked so much dick. 4-5 of the games were practically unwatchable, either blowouts or all around bad play. There were maybe 2 games that were somewhat interesting, namely the Robert Horry game and the 7th game. It goes up there with the 1994 Finals in terms of really long, really bad series.

I don't think you guys get what I mean. When I said this finals should be the most interesting and even in a long time, it's because there is no surefire winner. The East was so bad in the post Jordan era that it led to a bunch of really lame finals. The Pacers put up a mild fight in 2000, but I doubt anyone thought they had a chance. The Sixers with Iverson? No shot. The Nets? Ha!

I would say the Pacers put up more than a 'mild' fight that year. If I am remembering correctly they were two shots away from being up 3-1 in that series.

I'd also say that was an interesting series, because Reggie Miller was going to win a ring, or Shaq and Kobe were going to get their first.

That was a well-hyped, exciting series.

I enjoyed that Pistons-Lakers series because there was something compelling about watching the Lakers just totally crumble before our eyes. Spurs-Nets, though, Jesus tapdancing Christ. What was that.

I think it is more the other team being hyped up and when you are hyped up, you are likely to take quick shots, and jumpers, which, as we have all been told, plays into the suns game.

Something I haven't mentioned, I think that A: Bill Walton should never call Lakers games B: Magic Johnson should never be in the studio during a Laker game and C: Steve Kerr should never call a Suns game.

Steve is the one that shows the fewest amount of bias of the 3 but he still has too many bias towards the Suns.

I actually think the suns are in trouble after this piss poor officating in the first half.

Adjusted Fouls should be like 1 on Tim Thomas, 2 on Barbosa, 1 on Diaw, 2 on Harris and 2 on Terry. Terry's second and Harris's 2nd were both a crock of crap.
