Damaramu Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Don't do California. Cost of living is too high. I'm so spoiled by how cheap it is to live in Oklahoma. I know if I ever move anywhere else I'll freak out.
Guest Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 It's 1200 for a decent 2 bedroom apartment in a decent neighborhood here. Housing costs are through the roof. Fuck that.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'm about to commit to paying somewhere around $900-1000/month to share a townhouse with two other people in a suburb of D.C. Take your California whinin' outta here! ...And send me a few bucks while you're at it.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'd want, in this order: - A quality school, academically - A radio program - A quality sports program (for viewing, not participation) - Some wrestling - Quality women. Wrestling above women?
Adam Posted May 25, 2006 Author Report Posted May 25, 2006 You make a good point. I got in touch with some people today, turns out I can get a $5000 loan to be put on my HECS (Student Loan), and a $2500 scholarship. So I'd only have to raise about 6 grand in 18 months. Do-able.
FroGG_NeaL Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'm going on Exchange, possibly next year, and I need help figuring out which College would be best for me to attend for six months. These are my possibilities: * Butler University (Indiana) * Colorado State University * Ithaca College (New York) * Kansas City Art Insitute * State University of New York at Oswego * Towson University (Maryland) * University of California * University of Hawaii * University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign * University of New Mexico * University of Texas at Austin * Southwest Missouri State University * University of Virginia * University of Western Washington WTF? I didn't know there was an AI in Kansas City.
Fökai Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 EDIT: Nevermind. I can talk you out of Hawai'i a little later.
Adam Posted May 25, 2006 Author Report Posted May 25, 2006 I wasn't considering Hawaii as an option. I'd rather go to the East Coast and go to about 7 different states.

kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I'm so spoiled by how cheap it is to live in Oklahoma. I know if I ever move anywhere else I'll freak out. And nobody wants that.
Slayer Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Kansas City Art Insitute Then I'd have to come up and see just how Australian you really are
Ace309 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 (edited) Don't go to Ithaca or Oswego. Seriously. Edited May 26, 2006 by Ace309
Fökai Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I wasn't considering Hawaii as an option. I just meant that you shouldn't even consider it. You're not going to get anything noteworthy out of their program in a single year. And as you said, everything you want out of Hawai'i, you can just accomplish by going there for two weeks.
Ace309 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 (edited) As far as New Mexico goes: - A quality school, academically - check. It's not Harvard, but what is? Besides Harvard, I mean. And Yale. - A radio program - KUNM, 89.9 FM. - A quality sports program (for viewing, not participation) - the Lobos are always entertaining. - Some wrestling - Are you into MMA? Shit's absolutely huge down there. We're talking Boxcar Ira fighting for a sandwich. It's brutal. - Quality women - well, are you into Latinas? Edited May 26, 2006 by Ace309
CheesalaIsGood Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Plymouth State in New Hampshire. Women, lots of pretty women.
