It took me a bit to find it, but if you type in Lex Luger in the serach and go the last page, i think its the 4th page, its the very last one. You'll know the one I'm talking about because of his theme music playing and the backround is a island or something tropical.

I remember an article in WWF Magazine talking about how he had a 4.0 GPA in college and I know Jim Ross would mention it on commentary occasionally. That could have been kayfabed, but I don't know why they'd fabricate something along those lines when it's not like his character was supposed to be a genius. IIRC, Lockwood was found at Stevie's house, after the fact, dead from an OD of painkillers, booze and choking on his own vomit. Luger & Liz, however, were both boozing it up and popping pills (which came from his stash) when she overdosed. There's a bit of a difference.

I went to college with Lex Luger's son, Brian Pfhol, at Mercer University in Macon, GA. He started there in fall 2003 and came there on a basketball scholarship. He was terrible at basketball, but an interesting guy. Brian absolutely LOATHED pro wrestling and got very agitated whenever anyone pointed out that Lex Luger was his dad. There were some fans at an away game that knew this. They started chanting "LUGER" at him and doing the torture rack sign whenever he missed a shot. It was an incredible sight to see. He looked like he wanted to eat the basketball and spit the pieces on them.

 

I don't know if that is more awesome than the kid who beat Flair's son in wrestling doing the Flair strut or not.

 

Meltz made some snarky comments about this in the past when comparing and contrasting Dusty's kid and Luger's kid, both of whom were highly recruited HS athletes at the same time.

If Luger's matches had "proper ring psychology" and he had the skills of a Benoit or Angle, I doubt he'd be called a murderer on here. I'm sure Guerrero and Barr shared some drugs, maybe that led to Barr getting worse, maybe not. Was Guerrero a murderer, of course not. You've got little kids on here who don't know how to describe a situation or person, it seems at least, without throwing in ignorant comments or insults when they're not necessary.

It is a big deal, it's not an angle, or backstage drama, or ratings points, or CM Punk banging Maria, the kinds of things a lot of you on here get fired up about. I can't believe the disrespect shown the wrestlers. Any of those guys, from a rookie to Ric Flair, could end up like Droz at any moment, and some of you-not all-but some can only pick up apart the matches bit by bit, and mock them for things they can't control (angles, match flow, etc). The talent is the reason wrestling is still on the air, without it, you'd have reruns of old movies or whatever on USA and Spike instead of it. It doesn't take much of a person to get on here and cheer when Randy Orton is hurt, like I saw the other day. I wish some of you-again not all-would just take a look at yourself and think about the real people you're on here taking cheap shots at.
