Guest Chris Xtreme Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 According to the Torch ( in a Pat McNeill feature), TNT Pro Wrestling is close to getting a tv deal with MavTV ( an upstart cable tv network thats only avialable on a limited amount of cable providers). MavTV is trying to cater to the same market as Spiketv and aparently is interested in Pro Wrestling. TNT Pro Wrestling is run by Marvin Ward, who has been promoting shows for years. TNT Pro Wrestling has toured Virgina in various chairty events. Ward is a legimate promoter. But I guess we have to take this with a grian of salt. Since many indy's have made claims like this. Plus, MavTV still has to grow itself, for this to even be taken seriously. Its pretty interesting though. http://www.tntprowrestling.com
Dobbs 3K Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Well, I just clicked on their webpage url you provided, and they have Orlando Jordan, Rosey, and Heidenreich on their front page. If those are their three top stars, I guess that's even less reason to get excited about a promotion I've never heard of on a network I've never heard of.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 How dare you forget they have former WWE standouts Aaron Aguilera, JESUS HIMSELF, and Short Sleeve Sampson of the Juniors Division that changed Friday Nights? PLUS THE HEART THROBS AND APRIL HUNTER

But you never know, TNA was considered a joke when they started doing their weekly ppvs.
GODSON Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Adrenaline Unleashed already got a deal with MavTV. It only available in 45 cities and my city is NOT one of them.SUCKS

If I understand things correctly. Who knows if any of this turns out to be legit.

gWIL Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Maybe they both got deals. From their website, MavTV doesn't look like it has tons of shows. Between these two projects, the MTV project and TNA becoming more of a force, the pro wrestling scene is about to become very interesting.

PLUS THE HEART THROBS AND APRIL HUNTER Well, at least April Hunter is really hot (at least to some people).

Between these two projects, the MTV project and TNA becoming more of a force, the pro wrestling scene is about to become very interesting. I don't see nothing drastic changing since TNA is still small and having a hard time to get people to buy their ppvs. Their buyrates is down from last year according to Meltzer which is surprising. Joe winning the title might spark a fire. MTV thing will be interesting and may present wrestling in a way we never seen before but it's only 30 minutes long broken down into seasons. MAV TV is only in 45 cities and I don't know if they reach the major cities? TNT wrestling is basically a TNA show was going to promote TNA house shows and Adrenaline Unleashed wants to be TNA.
