Guest J0bber Report post Posted July 17, 2006 Am I the only one on this board who has made a lifelong commitment to being straight edge by not drinking, smoking, or doing drugs? I don't listen to too many straight edge bands since I'm more of a metal guy than a punk guy, but I do really enjoy Throwdown's music since it is a mix of metal and straight edge hardcore and love living the straight edge lifestyle. I don't come across too many straight edgers these days. I am often laughed upon whenever I say I'm straight edge, but I don't care since I don't have to go with some sort of trend that all the people want to have fun with to rebel. Straight edge is unique in that it is a rebellion to a rebellion, which makes it so great. If there are any straight edgers on this board, just remember being straight edge is not for a day, a month, a week, or a year, it is a lifelong commitment. I knew sooner or later trolling with ocassional bitching about the product in wrestling related folders was going to get me nowhere and I had to start a controversial thread. Already tried with Unpopular Political Opinions, but that didn't work too well. Guys, I wasn't being serious, although I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs.
