CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2006 I've been listening to the Chris Masters theme a lot lately. It makes for a pretty good driving song...lots of instruments, intensity, crescendo building. But I think it goes without saying that there's better ones out there. Help me out, preferably using those guidelines?
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 24, 2006 Holst - Mars, the Bringer of War Tchaikovsky - Marche Slave Joseph Wilcox Jenkins - American Overture Johan de Meij - Symphony No. 1: The Lord of the Rings (specifically "Gandalf")
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2006 I'll second the Holst recommendation - nearly every science fiction movie soundtrack has ripped off of "Mars", and for good reason. I've always been partial to Bartok's "Miraculous Mandarin" as well.

Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 25, 2006 Wagner - "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral." I have a Phantom Regiment recording of it. I might put that up later, as well as their 2003 show which I enjoyed a lot.
