alfdogg 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 As you know, I'm dropping the title to Drek at AngleSlam. I haven't discussed this with NYU yet, but I was wanting to get an idea of who his first program after AngleSlam might be. Reason being, I have a big angle planned for the first HD after AngleSlam, and part of it involves me losing in the #1 contender match for Dirty Deeds. I want to call the ME slot for said HD, but *not* for said #1 contender match. I've been under the impression we were going for Drek vs Zack at AngleMania VI. So I was thinking we do the originally planned ME for AS, which was Alf vs Zack vs PK, with Zack winning. Zack then loses at DD, with the "Zack never EVAR~ gets another title shot" schtick afterwards. Zack then of course gets a chance at the Lethal Rumble, wins, and faces Drek at AM. I'm not sure if Zack will be done with the Wildcards angle after AngleSlam, though. Just a suggestion, but I'd like to get this sorted out when we can. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 The Wildcards angle doesn't end at Angleslam. Dirty Deeds, as long as the schedule is correct, will be the War Games match of The Wildcards Plus One vs. Zack's Team. There's going to be a lot more going on and more involvment in the Wildcards angle post-Angleslam, so it's going to extend a bit farther, likely to the end of the year. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 Dirty Deeds, as long as the schedule is correct, will be the War Games match of The Wildcards Plus One vs. Zack's Team. Is this negotiable? I'd been planning on doing a Chamber match at this show, as well. I was going to do it at WWE before we cut the PPVs down.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 We can try and work something out, sure. We had a loose timetable for everything and definitely don't want to rush, but also don't want to spread ourselves too thin. KC has some involvment in future plans for this, so he'll have some input too. I'll check in with Blank and Rando over the next few days about it.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 My feud with Longdogger Pete is going past AS to Dirty Deeds, so I don't know how that would fit in with this (or if it matters at all).
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 So, is anyone going to be available to feud with Drek over the title after AS? As far as the Chamber match goes, basically after I do my turn, a HL title match will be made between me and Brock, who will have become a face. I'll be aligned with the Canadian TTWC team, and Brock of course will have Team Heyross. We'll do a series of three matches against one another, and whichever side wins the series, either me or Brock chooses the match. However, the last match ends in a draw, so Watts comes out and announces the Chamber match. That was my plan. I actually moved the show back a week to allow that much longer to build. The #1 contender match I mentioned above probably won't be a necessity.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 Well, World Without End is the Elimination Chamber show, right? Was it last year? Maybe I'm mistaken. One suggestion, mainly for Zack; Alf goes ahead with the Chamber at WWE and we hold off on War Games for a few more weeks. At WWE, we can fit in some more matches with everyone involved in War Games. Then, late October, we have another Syndicated, one which I'll do the running off like Tony did and Adam was supposed to do. I've only ever posted one show, I'd like to do another. So long as people understand it being later than usual because of time differences. Main event of Syndicated would be War Games, we'd fit in a couple more matches from other and we can probably get away with writing a longer War Games without ending up with a ridiculously long PPV. Yay? Nay?
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 That'd be fine with me. We can hype it up as the first War Games ever on broadcast television. For World Without End, maybe we can do one of the tag matches (Usual Suspets vs. Martial Law/Dead Precidents)? Or maybe mix things up and do stuff like Zack Malibu vs. Todd Cortez, Bruce vs. Rodez, etc.?
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 I can happily sub in for a month fued with Drek, since my character has some storyline with him.

Then the spare two can maybe find something else for the show, or we can just have them sit it out, depending on who the spare two are. We could also have it be Usual Suspects vs. Cortez and Bloodshed, especially if certain titles might be involved. Whatever the best use of writers is I guess. Tony149 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 ...Usual Suspects vs. Cortez and Bloodshed, especially if certain titles might be involved. I guess that answers my PM to Zack -- November Reign. Oddly enough, I had thought about doing another edition of Syndicated in late September (probably before WWE), but holding it off until October is better. War Games could take up the whole show if you wanted, or maybe along with 2 squashes or something.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 Well it'd make sense to have a couple of matches on the undercard. No doubt there'd be a promo from each team to fit in, so there'd have to be some filler.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 I figure it could be like the episode of the old TNA Wednesday PPV's that had (IIRC) two quickie matches and a War Games main event. Nothing too major (maybe a tag team spotfest and a semi-squash for a guy like PK or something) and then the War Games.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 Just a reminder: Syndicated is a one hour show that's shown across the country and around the world. It wasn't until recently that I learned most War Games were around 20-25 minutes long. I always thought 30-45 minutes, but the action is so fast that time flies by. On a completely unrelated note, I'm concerned about the Brian Pillman DVD due out in the fall. Why? If any of his Hollywood Blonds work is on there like it should, that's probably means no Jesse Ventura, and as KC found out that drives me mad.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 Good thing I have all the original Blondes footage on tape . I'm still grabbing that DVD as soon as it comes off whatever truck delivers it. Everyone at work has been warned.

Nothing too major (maybe a tag team spotfest and a semi-squash for a guy like PK or something) and then the War Games. I've been thinking about thinking up a new character because PK is kind of a straightforward character and I want to write for someone a little more charismatic and has more personality. Maybe he can debut on that Syndicated.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 Okay, so WWE is October 1st, so if we say Syndicated will be October 15th, that'd give us time to write the tag match/matches for WWE and War Games. Zack, I'm assuming by WWE that War Games will already by announced. In which case, we could maybe have two tag matches. Usual Suspects vs. 2 of the 'SWF' 4 and The GPX vs. the other 2. That way, we can have you, me and/or Bruce handle them, rather than having possibly three active guys on one match. Syndicated only being an hour shouldn't be a big problem if we limit the card. Maybe have some non-match segments to build towards the PPV afterwards. We should probably only use Syndicated for 'special occassions'. The first was a new idea, the second would have been the 10 Man Tag, this'll be War Games. One idea I'd like to do next year would be Survival Of The Fittest, although that wouldn't really make sense for an hour show. But maybe an extended Syndicated? Or even instead of BattleBowl (seeing as it's sort of a singles BattleBowl)? We could come up with 6 interesting, maybe even first-time matches (like Leon vs. Reject, or Zack vs. Bohemoth) and we wouldn't need to build storylines for them. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2006 Okay, I just read the schedule. October 28th for Syndicated is fine, disregard the above contradiction. Thank you.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 Just so you guys know, PRL's going to feud with Drek next month. I should have mentioned this sooner, I hope this doesn't mess up anyone else's plans.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2006 I need a face for my Chamber match. I had planned for Otaku to be in it, but he's taking off for a while, I guess. Just a forewarning, though, he'll probably be one of the first two out.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2006 Also, I was planning to announce the match this week, as you can see in the Brock/Alf ending, so it would be nice to get an answer soon. Does Bill Watts have certain theme music that he uses?
Tony149 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 Does Bill Watts have certain theme music that he uses? When Watts first debuted he used Kid Rock's "Cowboy." And we should somehow explain Axel's absence. I've talked with Adam about it in the past. A lot of us tend to use authority figures to advance angles and whatnot, and with Adam busy with school we're left hanging. My first suggestion to him was to say Axel was impeached. But that would be something he'd need to sign off on, or if a whole bunch of guys got together and said that's the way it's gotta be.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 Talking with NYU while we were working on the Alf/Drek feud, he said that since Syndicated never went up and Adam pulled out of the angle, that he was just going to assume that Watts' team won control. So, I've pretty much been going the same way.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 Never thought about it that way, but it works. I don't think many people picked up on the announcers mentioning Team Axel winning anyway.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 The show before the PPV, I'll be doing "Beat the Clock" matches, ala WWE. I've got some more notice now, I'd like to know how many of you guys' characters would be available for that.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 I have an idea regarding the authority figure madness. Basically that Anglesault (in character, since I have control of it) determines that he's sick of people claiming to run "his company" and he wants to take more of a hands on role. He institutes certain policies that waive legal ramifications (once you're in the arena, you're fair game, etc...very similar to what Bischoff had planned for the new WCW had he bought it) and it cuts down on the use of needing the authority figure to come out and make a ruling. Underneath him though, would be the "Three Wise Men" of Bill Watts and two others, who basically are in charge of carrying out his orders and reporting back to him. They would only interfere at extremely crucial times, or simply to announce matches booked for upcoming shows. That way there's no actual heel/face GM type of thing. The Three Wise Men idea came to me because they can do "majority rules" type of votes, so you never really have three full "heelish" guys or three faces going over the heads of the wrestlers. Anglesault would be impartial, leaning towards face...much like how Jim Cornette is for TNA.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 That's why you're the boss. We can always count of you to lock yourself in a room and come out with a plan. Who are the other two guys?
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2006 That's open to discussion.

I've got some more notice now, I'd like to know how many of you guys' characters would be available for that. OK, here's my plan: I'd like to do three of these matches for this week, and then three for next week. I'll also have triple threat matches for the other three participants. I'm going to PM guys to ask for opponents.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2006 Bump. This week I think we'll kill two birds with one stone, and a)revive Anglesault as a hands-on owner of the company, and b)decree that Syndicated will host the first ever War Games on broadcast television.
