Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Pending revelation. This week on Smackdown, King Booker will go one-on-one with "The Deadman", in a rare appearance by Undertaker. The World Heavyweight Champion was successful against Rey Mysterio last week, but will a new kingdom come tonight? At The Great American Bash, Chavo Guerrero betrayed his former friend Rey Mysterio, causing Rey to lose the World Heavyweight Championship. Chavo again assaulted Mysterio last Friday and cost Rey his return championship match with King Booker. Chavo will go on the record at Smackdown, hopefully to explain his recent actions. Why has Chavo seemingly tossed aside a lifelong friendship with Mysterio? What will happen tonight when Chavo comes to Smackdown to "educate" Rey on the true meaning of the Guerrero name? What will Rey's emotional state drive him to? Also, WWE.com has learned that on Smackdown, Batista will collide with Mr. Kennedy for the third time in two weeks. Mr. Kennedy earned his second victory in a row against Batista last week on Smackdown. After getting counted out in his match with Kennedy, the infuriated Animal could not manage to get his hands on the man he bloodied at The Great American Bash. Batista endured a hellacious confrontation with ECW World Heavyweight Champion Big Show on ECW on Sci-Fi. "The Animal" won by disqualification, but what condition will he be in on tonight? Will Batista be able to beat Mr. Kennedy? Or will Kennedy be up three on Batista? Diva hopeful, J.T. held her own in Diva Search Musical Chairs last Friday night. Who will be the next Diva to be eliminated from the $250,000 Diva Search? Who will shine tonight in hopes of becoming one of the sexiest women on television? Tune in tonight at 8pm/7pm CT on UPN to find out. WWE United States Title: Fit Finlay .VS. William Regal. Elijah Burke .VS. Scott Wright. Ashley .VS. Kristal Marshall. Tatanka .VS. Sylvan Grenier. Batista .VS. Ken Kennedy. Vito .VS. The Brooklyn Brawler. Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki .VS. Idol Stevens & K.C. James (managed by Michelle McCool). King Booker .VS. Undertaker.
Guest netslob Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 wow, Taker actually gonna work tonight? he sure spoils us.
Just John Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 8 matches... With roughly a 20 person roster? Damn. No wasted wrestlers on SD, that's for damn sure. Sure, only 3 of them will probably go longer than 5 minutes, but when was the last time there were this many matches on a single show?
sluggo Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 the Finlay/Regal match is awesome. Even the troll spot was great.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Man Regal's not really doing the whole "technical expert" thing tonight is he?

Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 With a name like "Elijah Burke" I expect to see the lost Blu brother. Missed last week's SD so I'm interested in seing what Terkay can do. Edit: OK, I guess Burke will do. Crowd seems kinda dead, but IIRC, this was on the back end of a supershow, wasn't it? I guess they were a bit burnt out.
BorneAgain Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Burke has a better submission visually than Terkay.
Downhome Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Layla is so fucking hot, I'm sure we'll be seeing her in WWE, regardless of if she wins or not. Hell, two of the Diva Search "losers" have already been offered contracts.
Downhome Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Is it wrong if I wouldn't mind seeing Tatanka make it to the US title?
benn Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I can't stand any of these diva search sluts.
BorneAgain Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Is it wrong if I wouldn't mind seeing Tatanka make it to the US title? It would make an interesting international feud with Finlay (Irish), Regal (British), Lashley, Sylvan (French-Canadian) and Tatanka (Indian) all wanting the same thing, the United States Championship. There you go, a wrestling metaphor for world conflict.

Downhome Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 That would actually make for a pretty cool angle. Then near the end of it they could have someone who is really, really all for USA enter the feud. Maybe someone so pro-USA that he's a heel.
Exslade ZX Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Erica is so so so horrible. And wow, have there been any backstage angles at all? It's been match, match, match, it seems. Which isn't necassarily a bad thing.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Poor Vito. The things a person might have to do to get a steady paycheck.
Exslade ZX Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Poor Vito. The things a person might have to do to get a steady paycheck. Well, at least he's a wrestler. Instead of being..you know, a dude really in a dress getting paid.

Instead of being..you know, a dude really in a dress getting paid. Yeah I guess so. Vito gets to do it on national TV in front of millions of people though.
Downhome Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Pulse is only PG-13? The last I heard it was R, WTF? There goes any interest I had in that one.
Exslade ZX Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I hope that his first name now isn't "Idol" and she just didn't say his full name, because that's horrible. Although that's what Cole is calling him..
BorneAgain Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Bobby Eaton's muscular twin brother everybody. Londrick appearance. And they say the tag champs are wasted.
Exslade ZX Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Oh my God...the fairy tale speak is awesome. And the belt says King Booker. That's even better.
Downhome Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So Chavo is the face in this feud, right?
Exslade ZX Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So Chavo is the face in this feud, right? He should be, since he told the truth. But then of course..the fans chant Eddie 5 seconds later :/
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So Chavo is the face in this feud, right? Sure does seem like it to me. I guess the truth can make a heel out of someone though.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Booker/UT didn't seem like that bad a match. God, Khali is worthless in the ring.
