razazteca Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Another lame and pointless Zbysco/Slick skit... Those skits make the Tim White suicide look like art house drama. Atleast Tim White was confined to WWE.com after a couple weeks...They've been wasting TV time on this crap for six months. Everytime I hear the words "Friendly" and "Tap" I shed a tear for Mr. White. Whenever Larry is on tv I change the channel to ESPN for baseball scores.
Jebus Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Eric Young gets bonus points for the Tennis Racket but what about Jim Cornette's momma.....no gifts for her? Mama Cornette passed away
Astro101 Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Sting having JJ in the deathlock on after the lights turned back on was pretty cool.
Timmy8271 Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Pretty good show. Nothing Overally bad. LAX is just awesome. I hope they win sunday. Eric Young didn't annoy me this week. Will Petey Williams ever have a single's x division match? Jim cornette rules So does Nash I read that conference call too...what did he do to get you pissed off? Just the fact that he always has to mention ECW/WWE. I'm surprised he didn't mention it during his interview today. Oh and the lack of Christy hemme during the bumpers wasn't cool.
GODSON Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Every TNA Spike TV conference has bash WWE and ECW in some form. I just choose to ignore it because it's pointless. At least Rhino, have an actual beef and dislike for WWE/ECW as oppose to someone like AJ Styles who will do it just to impress TNA.

Pretty sure they told AJ he was too small and would never amount to anything in the wrestling business.
cabbageboy Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Yeah, but the trashing of WWE and ECW only works if your own TV shows are clearly better....which TNA isn't. TNA is the most schitzo fed, I swear. I really enjoy the Nash/Shelley stuff and I am usually quite amused by Eric Young. But here is a problem with the Young deal: Why is he this worried about being fired? Of the heatless losers in Team Canada he'd be the last guy I'd fire. This Jarrett stuff is too funny. I mean Cornette flat out came on TV and said he sucks and is bad for business. It's like they themselves know JJ can't draw a dime, yet are powerless to change anything. By the way, anyone else note that they edited out the Zbyzsko and Hebner screwjob part of the Slammiversary PPV match?

He's always been paranoid. Then his paranoia reached new levels during the Sting is gone thing and now he is just absolutely freaked about anything. That's why he believes he is going to get fired.
FroGG_NeaL Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Is it me, or shouldn't Slammiversary be their WrestleMania insted of Bound For Glory? After all, Slammiversary is the Anniversary of TNA, and that'd be the perfect date for it. This always confused me, too. Plus, Slammiversary sounds so much more like a WretleMania/Starcade type of show. It's a great neame for the yearly big show. Bound For Glory sould be the SummerSlam type show, the second biggest of the year, and plant the seeds for shit thats gonna happen at Slammiversary.

"Paranoid" Eric Young is one of the best characters to come along in a while.
cabbageboy Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Oh I'm not criticizing Eric Young. I think he's hilarious. But I would think someone should say "Dude, you're great. You're not going to be fired, so chill."

It's a great neame for the yearly big show. I've alway thought Slammy should be their big show too. Don't know why, but it just seems like a big event to me.
BUTT Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 I don't know about Slammiversary being the big show, but I think TNA's biggest show should be in December.
GODSON Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Slammiversary has always been their biggest and best "build up" show. If you compare 2005 Slammiversary to 2005 BFG, Slammiversary had a bigger aura and they were not even on tv. This year BFG however looks like it going to be a major show and a show that will change TNA forever.
FroGG_NeaL Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Rhyno did a good job getting the crowd behind him in that opening promo. Even after he got attacked by Monty, then Joe came out, they were behind Joe, but when they cut away from the ring the crowd was chanting 'Rhyno' all the way to the commercial. The only thing I didn't like on this show was the shit with Larry Z. Even if he had a decent character, his hair looks so fucking ridiculous I feel like I'm watching a really bad SNL skit every time he comes on screen.
luke-o Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 It annoys me no end when i read how good a TNA show was, then i have to wait a goddamn week to see it.
