Guest Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 But at the same time, Quartey's jab has a way of getting through a fighters defense. I really like Quartey, so I want to see him do well.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 But at the same time, Quartey's jab has a way of getting through a fighters defense. I really like Quartey, so I want to see him do well. Quartey has not faced a fighter as defensive as Winky Wright, espically since he's come back. Jermain Taylor wasn't able to bully Winky Wright around, and Taylor is much more stronger then Quartey. His jab wont affect Wright at all I think. After the jab Ike doesn't really got much, and I think you need to be a fighter like Kassim Ouma to give Winky problems, a fighter that throws from all angles. I can't see Quartey beating Wright at all, but hey it's a boxing fight, I've been wrong before, anything can happen.
Lei Tong Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Wright def. Quartey via JD, wide Quintana def. Cotto via TKO, late Margarito def. Clottey via JD, wide
snuffbox Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Also, tonight Versus will show 3 fights from the Top Rank ppv over the summer... Cotto-Malinaggi B. Pacquiao-Kelley JCC Jr.
CanadianChris Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Random question: Why are boxing title belts so BUTT-ugly?
snuffbox Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Barring something incredible tomorrow night, Cotto-Paulie was the FOTY. I guess, having grown up watching boxing, I think most of the belts look cool. But I can see how they'd look ridiculous to others.
Coffin Surfer Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 And Lacy somehow pulls off a 95-95, 96-94,96-94 majority "gift" decision despite getting sporadically pounded, staggered a few times, and doing nothing noteworthy outside of the first two rounds. Oh, and evidently his shoulder got hurt or something(though I'd say getting busted up everytime he tried to close the distance probably had more to do with his inactivity). Some comeback. And I'll say Wright by UD.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Wright and Ike went just how I thought... Cotto proved he is among the elite class. Hatton would get tooled by him.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Also, anyone notice, Winky didnt even mention Taylor's name when asked what his next fight will be?
Guest Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Quintana got fucked, and Clottey would have beaten Margarito with a healthy hand. I missed the Lacy fight, and I knew when I saw Quartey enter the ring that he was done. He was too far out of his weightclass, and he looked it.
snuffbox Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 For Tony's sake, I hope people keep 'ducking' Margarito.
Guest Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I'd like to see Mosley fight him, because Mosley's my favorite fighter and I'd like to see him beat Margarito's ass.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I want to see Cotto or Paul Williams whoop on Margarito.
Guest Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Paul's supposed to be fighting him next, unless Marg wants to duck his mandatory.
snuffbox Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 He's going to fight a scrub because "Oscar is ducking me now!" Or something.
snuffbox Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Taylor-Ouma & Andre Berto tonight on HBO.
snuffbox Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 ESPN will be showing the classic Foreman-Holyfield fight tonight, followed by the surprisingly good brawl Lewis-Briggs.
Guest Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 I'm looking forward to the Edison Miranda fight, myself.
snuffbox Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 That should start after both classics are done. Shouldn't miss either of the HBO fights unless the West Coast schedules are really different.
Guest Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 BAD was pretty good tonight. Far from the norm.
snuffbox Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 I was a bit off about Litzau & his opponent. In 2007 Miranda will finish off the rest of Abraham's skull.
snuffbox Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Shane Mosely-Kermit Cintron. Feb 10. HBO. Or, we can talk about Tyson's latest dipshit antics.
Guest Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I love this matchup. I love it so much that I might use my air voucher to go up to Vegas and see it.
razazteca Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Shane Mosely-Kermit Cintron. Feb 10. HBO. Or, we can talk about Tyson's latest dipshit antics. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Guest Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Cintron fell out of the Mosley fight, and Luis Collazo is taking his place. Now I'm not going, as Mosley regaining a part of the Welterweight crown had a lot to do with my decision to go.
Guest Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 I read it on Collazo's myspace. And on Max.
snuffbox Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Golden Boy are finally announcing this development today. 909 was almost a week ahead w/ the news.
Guest Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Barrera and Marquez, March 17th on HBO PPV. Also, sorry ass Vargas is fighting Mayorga, lol.
snuffbox Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Mayorga is probably the perfect opponent for Nando at this point.
