Youth N Asia Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I agree about Lana, she just does not serve a purpose anymore. The highschool crush thing is over, heartbreak, yeah yeah, she's not even fun to dislike...it's like she's just there
2GOLD Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Her character just seems to be there to remind us that she can grab any character by the balls and ruin them for a good 7 episodes. Right now the only good things going on Smallville that I can see are Lionel Luthor and Chloe. And something tells me neither of them is long for this season.
ZGangsta Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 And the thing is, there's absolutly no significant importance in Clark revealing his powers/origin to her anymore because like a million peope know about him and she's clearly seen enough wierd shit happen around him to know that SOMETHING's up. Clark reavealing himself to Lana is supposed to be the biggest moment in the pre-Superman mythology. And I know that they've far departed from the traditional story, but even in the context of the show they've been building up to that. The first 4 seasons of the show spent so much time building up to and foreshadowing that moment and now if he does tell her it wouldn't be all that significant. I think the best case would have been if she had actually died in the 100th episode, it would be a cool complete left-turn from what's 'supposed' to happen. Prett much I can't believe that this show's in its 6th season and she's still getting knocked out every time Clark needs to save her.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted October 16, 2006 Author Report Posted October 16, 2006 The bitch needs to be put to sleep. Now that She will be pregnant with Lex's baby , maybe she gets killed driving Lex over the edge. One would hope
Exslade ZX Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 All I know is, I'm really enjoying Ollie Queen so far. I really like his set. (The Clocktower) It just looks really cool. It also does a good job of showing just how rich he is, but still shows he's not quite the big spender like Lex is. Can't wait for next week's episode.
Mystery Eskimo Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) Aye to Lana dying. Unless they make her into a complete Lex-ified bitch. Clark could finally spill the beans and she'd be all, "Duh, yeah. You're an idiot" and lay some kryptonite on him. Edited October 16, 2006 by Mystery Eskimo
Pegasus Kid Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Martian Manhunter > Batista This show is clicking really well of late. JLA is coming.
ZGangsta Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Holy shit this show has become terrible lately. Thought the Oreo cookie bit was cool though.
dubq Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Ahh it was an Oreo. I didn't have my glasses on and was wondering what the fuck that was, heh. The JLA episode sounds like it's going to be pretty rad. Spoilers say that we've got Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg & The Flash (apparently with a different name for some DC reason) on board. Should be cool. ...and I marked out when Manhunter was shown blinking and then flying off! That totally saved an otherwise shite episode. I wonder what the big bad is for this season? Return of Brainiac? Zod? Maybe the White Martians, and that's the reason why J'onn J'onzz is there, to warn/save Earth? I just hope they don't balk and go with another Phantom Zone angle as to why Martian Manhunter is now there. I'm already sick of that plot device.
EdwardKnoxII Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Anyone else think that Lana is going to have a miscarriage by the end of the season?
Exslade ZX Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Anyone else think that Lana is going to have a miscarriage by the end of the season? Well it's pretty much a sure thing that she won't have a kid... Only way I could see her having a kid, is if it turned out to be some kind of crazy kryptonite freak baby or something. We find out it's Clark's kid or something. He's got slow, super sperm, took a few months to activate. (Yea, in otherwise she's not having one >_>)
Pegasus Kid Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 I'm forced to wonder when they're going to get the main antagonist introduced and the gears start moving towards JLA vs Big Bad. They usually have it out of the way by November sweeps.
dubq Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Maybe it will be revealed at the end of next weeks new episode. The episode itself sounds like complete filler but there could be some cliffhanger leading into the new year.

They usually have it out of the way by November sweeps. I thought that JLA was just a one episode thing..? So it's not as if they really need to introduce a "big bad"...at least not that can't be done in the one episode. (Not saying that I want it to though) More then likely it'll just be another Phantom...who's really strong.
Exslade ZX Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Alright..so this episode was pretty eh..(Especially after having watched Seasons 1-3 all together in the last few weeks or so) I've noticed Clark seems to be pretty cavalier now, if that's the right word, with the use of his powers. I know he wanted to save the kid, but damn. But no matter how good the ep was, the trailer afterwards seriously made me jump the hell up. The scene with the 5 of them walking, from Justice, just looked amazing. (Although Clark in Farmboy outfit, was kind of funny) I haven't enjoyed this season so far as much as I thought I would, Partly because of the lack of both Green Arrow, and Lois, I mean..once again, they weren't even mentioned. That trailer gives me high hopes for the rest of the season. I can't wait until Justice.
Molotov The Bear Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 "Lex is starting a war." Yeah, that scene was badass. I'm guessing the "big bad" is Lex as he unleashes the people locked in Lab 33.
dubq Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Aw yeah. Why do I always mark out for slow-walking-explosions-in-the-background scenes like that??
SuperJerk Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 For anyone who missed it. Hey, look...its "Ultimate Justice League".
Matt Young Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I just got into this series recently. A few weeks ago, when Superman Returns was released, Wal-Mart had the season box sets on sale for $15 each. Unfortunately, I had no money at the time. Now that I do, I see them going for $45 or so everywhere. Does anyone know where I can find a better deal?
IllustriousOne Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Costco had them for 15 a pop when I was there Monday.
Matt Young Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Costco had them for 15 a pop when I was there Monday. Don't they require a membership, though?
IllustriousOne Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Yeah they do. Just jack someone else's card or something.

Amazon.com's got 1-3 for $18 each, and 4 & 5 for $30 each.
SuperJerk Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 I'm sure somoene's already ointed this out before, but I was going through my Smallville DVDs and noticed the Daily Planet headline that Lionel was reading the first episode: QUEEN INDUSTRIES CEO MISSING; PRESUMED DEAD Heh.
Exslade ZX Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 That was the fucking GREATEST episode of Smallville ever. Ok, it might just be the comic book geek in me, but seriously, it was.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted January 19, 2007 Author Report Posted January 19, 2007 Great Episode Tonight My Favorite Part: Chloe playing the role of Oracle
SuperJerk Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Wait...was the Justice League ep TONIGHT? Damn it! I'm sure it'll get rerun a thousand times, though.
