Comments which don't warrant a thread

So I watched the Foley-Territoty "shortie" on 24/7. It seemed barely about him, which was cool since that made the main focus a bit of a nice surprise. It was really about Chris Candido killing Boo "Balls Mahoney" Bradley's cat with a top rope legdrop and Foley and Boo having a funeral for it. There was a short match in there prior to the cat killing. Good ol SMW fun. Some guy dressed as the red Power Ranger briefly showed up in the ring for some reason as well.

Triple H made one more reference to the internet: "One more thing for the internet haters.... It all stems from people who have opinions about the business they've never been involved in. And they're the same people waiting outside for my autograph after the show."

LOL, PWN

Triple H - I haven't read a dirt sheet in 10 years. And that's the damn truth. Yes I'm in a top position. Yes I'm married to the boss's daughter. Yes I sit in production meetings. But, at the end of the day, there is only one person with the stroke in this business. And that's Vince McMahon. If he doesn't like something , whether it's my idea or not, it's not going to happen. I want guys like John Cena around. I want to bring new guys up and help make them. People always accuse me of not wanting to drop the belt to a guy. That's complete crap. I didn't drop the belt to RVD because no one asked me to drop it to RVD. I've yet to see Hulk Hogan lose to anybody. He wrestles once every 6 months, and it doesn't matter if you're the biggest name in active competition today, he's not going to lose to you. There was suppose to be a Hogan/Michaels 2, and Hogan was supposed to lose. All of a sudden his knee starting "bugging" him.
Or translated for those that doesn't read "HHH'ese"

"Howcome I can't do it when Hulk Hogan can?"

Answer? You're no Hulk Hoganm not even close.

and someone played politics on Shawn and used a knee injury excuse? Maybe Hogan lost his smile? Would that have been acceptable?

The same thought came through my head when I read this, HHH can't stand Hogan b/c the Hulkster is the true king of politics.

Aw shit, is THAT how that angle ended?! Jesus. I remember the basic storyline (Tammy kidnapped Boo's kitten and had it in a bag at ringside, and she'd constantly threaten to squash it if Boo didn't do exactly what she and Candido told him too) but I never did remember how it ended. As a confirmed cat fan, just the mere thought of that angle makes me feel all cold & empty around the abdominal cavity. And they ended it with the heels actually KILLING the poor thing?! That's a great example to throw in the face of the "Cornette is the GREATIST BOOKER EVAH" crowd. Well, at least we now know where the inspiration for the whole "Bossman cooks Pepper" angle came from.

WWF did it first by having Earthquake squash Damian

Matt's Mailbag for 8/29

By Matt Hardy

August 29, 2006

Since his arrival in World Wrestling Entertainment, Matt Hardy's daredevil antics and never say die attitude have made him one of the most popular Superstars of all time. WWE Fans have supported Matt through thick and thin. Through the emotional events in his personal life to his amazing triumphs in the ring, the fans and Matt Hardy have always stood together.

WWE.com is happy to announce that starting this Tuesday and every week thereafter, Matt will take your questions and answer them in a special feature called Matt's Mailbag. Have a question for Matt? You can send them to him by clicking HERE.

Without further ado... Welcome to Matt's Mailbag.

Matt,

I've always wanted to know, what do you keep in the cargo pockets of your wrestling gear?

- Ryan from Fairfield, CT

Actually, there is one thing that I always keep in my cargo pockets while wrestling: my hair tie (if I'm not wearing it, that is). If I am wrestling and my hair is down, you can rest assured that my hair tie is in my pocket. After thinking about it, maybe I should start carrying foreign objects in my pocket and illegally improve my win-loss record.

Matt,

If you could wrestle anyone on either ECW or RAW, who would it be?

-Eric from Morgantown, W. Va

The person I would love to wrestle most from Raw would be Torrie Wilson, and from ECW, Kelly Kelly. Wow, that question was easy, lol. In all seriousness, the person from Raw I would most like to wrestle would be The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. Shawn is the guy who paved the way for guys like my brother and I. From ECW, I would like to wrestle Sabu just because he is so different and unorthodox. I would love to go "Extreme Rules" with the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal one.

Hey Matt,

Do you have any lingering injuries from your years of high-flying matches?

- Sam from Houston, TX

I actually have several nagging injuries from my high-flying matches and high-impact style. To begin with, my left knee that was reconstructed still nags at me and will never be 100% again. I have several bone chips and ligament and tendon damage in my left arm. I can't fully straighten or bend my left arm because of these aggravating injuries. My right ankle has been sprained and torn and damaged so much that it always needs to be taped and braced for me to wrestle. I've had three broken noses which leads to me sometimes having breathing and sinus problems. My lower back has to be constantly massaged and worked on if I'm wrestling a heavy schedule. It can quickly become tight and painful if I don't take care of it. I'm sure the thousands of legdrops I've done off the ropes haven't done my lower back any favors.

Dear Matt,

As you know, you're pretty popular with the ladies. What’s the best thing a female fan ever gave you?

- Lisa from Pittsburgh, PA

Incredible, pulse-pounding, heart-racing, animalistic sex…just kidding, kinda. The best gifts I've received include a DVD player, a purchased star that has been officially named after me, and a very expensive watch. One of the best gifts I ever received in a strange way was a vile of a blood. It came with instructions to mix with my blood so I could become soul mates with this girl. Yeah right... The best gifts that I get from any female fan though, is their support and love.

Matt,

Do you have a favorite food you like to eat on the road?

- Tom from Plattsburgh, NY

My favorite road meal is served at the Cracker Barrel. The six-piece grilled chicken tenderloin dinner (honey mustard dipping sauce on the side) with a house salad (ranch on the side), baked apples, and cottage cheese. I like to kick off the festivities with a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. While I'm waiting on my food, I'm usually whipping someone's ass on the "Scrabble" game on my cell phone.

Dear Matt,

I've been a huge fan for a long time now and I was wondering, would you ever consider cutting your trademark long hair?

-Jen from Knoxville, TN

Yes. You can't stay the same and look the same forever. I'm positive we will one day see the short-haired Matt Hardy again. What kind of haircut do you guys think would look good on me? A mohawk like the Reject? A caesar like Ken Kennedy? A bald head like Stone Cold? A scruff cut like Gregory Helms? A roundabout like the Hulkster? You guys give me some feedback and I'll take it into consideration...

Matt,

What’s your favorite city in your home state of North Carolina to wrestle in?

- Tim from Greenville, SC

My favorite city in North Carolina to wrestle in would have to be Fayetteville. It's the closest city to my house, and it's where Jeff and I first won the WWE World Tag Team titles, which I hold dear to my heart. Honorable mentions go to Raleigh and Southern Pines. Raleigh is 45 minutes from my house, and was the site of the first-ever TLC Match. Southern Pines, in the National Guard Armory, is where I used to promote the majority of my OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) independent wrestling shows. There are so many great memories from that location and era that included so many later-to-be WWE superstars. Myself, Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, Gregory Helms, Joey Mercury, and Joey Abs all shared many great moments in the Southern Pines Armory.

Well, that explains why he hasn't taken his shirt off in a while.

I only remember, because I saw his third nipple-looking infection, beside his right nipple.

Out of curiosity, I'm watching the first episode of "Celebrity Deuts" for "WORLD WRESTLING CHAMPION" Chris Jericho. He still has the short girlish hair and is totally preppy. It's sadly hosted by Wayne F'n Brady. It also includes Little Richard, Marie Osmond and some producer as judges. This is like a low budget American Idols.

I got it last week and I enjoy it. Today I watched the 90 minute AWA special (which someone told me was part of a series of PPVs on DirecTV in 2002 - it's hosted by Mean Gene and seems to be under a banner of "Classic Wrestling"). I've been enjoying watching back-to-back Raw/Nitro as well. They are up to nWo winning War Games 96 right now, and the next new one will feature the Raw debut of Razor and Diesel II. It was also interesting watching Vader (Bullpower Leon White) sqaush The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sagonovitch in wrestling tights).

This is correct, I ordered a couple of them. One featured old NWA matches, and one of them was the Tully/Magnam I Quit match.

I read on my number one source for wrestling news, wikipedia, that the latest Torch said WWE was in talks with Jericho to come back. I also read that Jim Ross stated he thought it could happen in 2006, and hey, Jericho was eliminated from Celeb Duets right out of the gate...

Jericho got eliminated on the first episode.

HA!HA!...oh man.

I wonder if they cut Jericho due to the fact that he's released albums before....considering the premise of that show.

He was cut because the first song he sang was awful. It was acountry ballad or some such and he sounded very akward singing it. He did much better with his 2nd song, but the damage had been done.

It didn't help that the woman he was singing with was acting like he was a sexual predator when he got close to her..........very weird.

Jericho, got on the wrong musical talent show. Rock Star, was better suited for him. Being a cover band frontman wouldn't disqualify him for that show. He'd been better off covering STP on that show then Lee Ann Womack.

Hopefully, this means Jericho comes back to WWE.

I don't want him feuding with HHH, though, cause you know he'll bring that up -- about him being eliminated first.

This isn't going to crush Jericho. It's not like lasting a few more weeks on the show was going to propel him into superstardom.

DWTS was an already established Ratings hit when Stacy did the show.

Jericho will get mocked for a bit by the usual but he'll resume looking for bit parts. I honestly believe he has no desire to wrestle in the time being.

Dr. Bryan Alvarez is reporting that Dallas Hart, Bret Hart's oldest son, will start training at Lance Storm's wrestling school in September.

Hart vs HBK 2 in Montreal, Book it VINCE!!!

Dallas, was the one that idolized Shawn right? Jesus, that'd be a surreal program. That being said, I'm shocked Vince didn't offer him a OVW deal right away. If he trains with Storm, I'd imagine Storm trying to keep him from going to WWE and go to ROH and Japan first.
