Now hopefully he can hold on for the title for awhile and have some awesome title defences.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Marufuji Vs Nigel McGuiness at Glory By Honor IV will be insane, with the strong chance of KENTA taking the title from the injured Bryan Danielson...the ROH/NOAH partnership is strong.

Lol I knew when I saw your name here that you'd sneak in a ROH mention somehow. That's my Hawk34. Wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. But yeah, Marafuji being champion should only help the ROH card. Dragon's injury, as unfortunate as it is will also add a lot of intrigue to the show. It will be an interesting night. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Is the Perfect Inside cradle like a Lightning Speed Cradle? It's a little hard to describe. Basically, it's an awesome pinning manuever that looks totally legit. It is like a cradle except it looks better. Instead of me attempting to describe it, why not see it for yourself? Check this match out as Marafuji hits the cradle in this bout. Very good match by the way.
Just John 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Is the Perfect Inside cradle like a Lightning Speed Cradle? It's like a wrist-clutch small package. He hooks one of the opponent's arms between the opponent's legs, then does a standard small package by hooking the head with his free arm and scissoring the legs. It actually looks pretty hard to get out of.

And that cradle seems totally inescapable
Smartly Pretty 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Hawk, I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt they'd take the title of AmDrag before a clean finished Joe/Danielson match, or at least a 'Cide/Danielson match.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 That was a good match, though I think I liked Marufuji better when he was Bret Hart 2.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Hawk, I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt they'd take the title of AmDrag before a clean finished Joe/Danielson match, or at least a 'Cide/Danielson match. A draw is a clean finish. KENTA winning the title isn't outside the realm of reality especially considering Dragon has a pretty bad shoulder injury and that KENTA would only miss 4 shows until his return in November (and will also be likely to work FB06, where the title switch to Homicide is likely) and that it's just further international promotion. ROH, is at a stage right now where they don't need a world title attraction to draw and sell their shows, especially with an incredibly tight tag team division and international talent on display. Cide/Danielson already had a title match, at DESTINY. That didn't have a clean finish but Danielson/Cide isn't the focus anymore for Homicide. It's Homicide Vs Cornette. Guest CWMwasmurdered Report post Posted September 10, 2006 First Minoru Suzuki takes the Triple Crown and now this. Excellent stuff, I need to get my hands on both shows. I didn't expect Marufuji to take the strap, especially not this soon. I figured Akiyama would hold onto the GHC title until Kobashi was ready to come back or Morishma got a crack at it. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Akiyama's reign kinda got screwed from the start, the most compelling stuff they could of done was vs. Kobashi (cancer), vs. Hashi (career-threatening injury), and vs. Shibata (gone from NOAH until now), with them out of the picture there really wasn't much of interest for him to do. As much as i love the Masao Inoue defence, when that's the highlight of your reign it's not a good sign. Hopefully Akiyama will get a decent reign with the GHC one day. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted September 10, 2006 Well, I finished watching the title fight. Great fight overall with a tremendous closing stretch. I found myself into it emotionally. Marafuji I believe is one of the best sellers around today. He's fantastic at portraying fatigue through body mannerisms and facial expressions. He and Benoit are the best sellers that I've seen as of current days.
