Art Sandusky Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Ron Dayne or Ricky Williams good.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 How good does a traditional running back have to be to win Heisman? More than before. The usual hype machines are going to make up for Vince Young not winning the Heisman last year.
jwest27 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Holy shit, the Illini defense hasn't given up a point to Iowa so far, and just picked off Drew Tate. This can't last. Edit: So they get intercepted the very next play. Edit numbah 2: Nevermind, reviewed and overturned wooo
HarleyQuinn Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 David Ball has TIED! Jerry Rice at 50 TD... awesome. Watching the game live, that's his 3rd TD catch for the day too.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Add to the Illinois/Iowa "surprising scores" file: Cincinnati 10, Virginia Tech 5, just before the half. VT's having a really hard time getting any sort of running game going against what should be a pretty pitiful Cinci team. This is in Blacksburg, too. Meanwhile, Clemson is throttling UNC. Despite the choke against Boston College, Clemson is starting to live up to their preseason hype. I still think Miami will rebound, but at this point Clemson may be the most complete team in a very down ACC.
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Add to the Illinois/Iowa "surprising scores" file: Cincinnati 10, Virginia Tech 5, just before the half. VT's having a really hard time getting any sort of running game going against what should be a pretty pitiful Cinci team. This is in Blacksburg, too. I got to see them last week, and UC isn't that bad. They were very competitive against Ohio State. The score didn't come close to reflecting how close the Bearcats were for most of the game. I didn't realize UNC was as bad as they are. Clemson is good, but 35-0 at halftime is getting into Temple territory.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Colorado leads Georgia 10-0. That's why they play the games.
snuffbox Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Iowa is once again proving why they're ranked 14.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Unranked Wiconsin and #6 Michigan are tied at 10 in the 3rd quarter.
Urban Warfare Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I'm really hoping Colorado can pull it out but I just can't see them holding onto the lead in the second half.
snuffbox Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Unranked Wiconsin and #6 Michigan are tied at 10 in the 3rd quarter. Yeah, UW can clean out their first three opponents with little problem, then hang with the #6 team...but Iowa, now finally showing some dominance against another bottomfeeding team is at 14. Hawkeyes, babay! Also, Badgers just picked off Henne (or as the invalid announcer keeps calling him, 'Henry') in the endzone.
snuffbox Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Badgers starting to really struggle now.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 VA Tech starting to pull away from Cincinnati (finally).
Art Sandusky Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Georgia is going down today if they don't get their shit together fast. I knew there'd be some huge upsets.
naiwf Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Mario Manningham is looking like a contender for the Heisman. I'm still awaiting the dreaded U of M letdown game when they tank against a team they should beat somewhat easily.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Bonus coverage of UGA and Colorado on ESPN 2 now. 13-7 Colorado, and they just stoned Georgia at the CU 12-yard line and took over on downs with 5 minutes to go. I think I would have kicked the field goal there rather than stretch on 4th and 3.
snuffbox Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Wisconsin just stopped playing for most of the second half. Terrible.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 UB not getting embarassed at Auburn. 0-7.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Georgia has the ball with 1:31 left around the CU 30. 2nd and 5 on about the 20, with the clock stopped.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 TD Georgia, up 14-13 with 46 seconds left.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I didn't realize they'd pulled Matthew Stafford, but it looks like it was the right move. Backup Joe Cox is 10-13 for 160 and 2 TDs.
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Georgia may drop out of the top 10 after this win (assuming they get it). How do you beat Colorado at home by a single point on a last-minute TD and call yourself an elite team?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I knew I should have bet on UB today. I didn't because I don't like betting college. I'm dumb.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Barring a spike, a hail mary, a spike, and a FG, this one is over.
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 HowhowhowhowHOW is ABC Seattle not showing ASU/Cal?? I'm annoyed.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I made a small bet on UB. +42 looked pretty good, but it's all luck when you bet on games like that. Looks like they should easily cover.
Bored Posted September 23, 2006 Author Report Posted September 23, 2006 HowhowhowhowHOW is ABC Seattle not showing ASU/Cal?? I'm annoyed. It's not on ABC, it's on Fox Sports Net.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Kent up 31-3 on Bowling Green. There goes UB's good chance at win #2.
