Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Georgia may drop out of the top 10 after this win (assuming they get it). How do you beat Colorado at home by a single point on a last-minute TD and call yourself an elite team? Every good team screws up now and then. That they're getting out of this one alive should be enough to keep them near the top. If Notre Dame wins they'll probably get voted over them or something like that. Even had they lost, it ultimately wouldn't have been a big deal since it's not a conference game.
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 HowhowhowhowHOW is ABC Seattle not showing ASU/Cal?? I'm annoyed. It's not on ABC, it's on Fox Sports Net. Well, that's odd. I see a 3:30 ET Pac-10 game, I expect ABC is carrying it. Especially a big game like this one.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I can't decide which of these Fox Sportsnet commentators is more irritating. They both sound almost exactly the same, like retarded ducks.
Urban Warfare Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Wow, amazing interception by Justin King, PSU ball.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 LSU would probably get voted over Georgia as long as they kill Tulane tonight... Â Â Close loss to Auburn > close win over Colorado
snuffbox Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Colorado deserves all the bad luck they get.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Fuck. Why can't Vaughn choke against UB, too. 0-10.
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Colorado deserves all the bad luck they get. Â Yeah, I think they should change their mascot from the Buffalo to the Karma Chameleon...
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Fuck. Why can't Vaughn choke against UB, too. 0-10. Â Because Buffalo didn't pay off the LSU fans to get the voodoo doll we use on Vaughn each year
teke184 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 HAH! Â Florida State 7, Rice 7 in the 1st quarter. Â Considering Rice is pathetic, it's bad that they're even keeping up with Florida State. Â Â This could be a long year for Big Poppa Bowden.
iggymcfly Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 This I-AA shit is out of control where I live. I can see the CBS affiliate pre-empting Alabama/Arkansas (which I wanted to see) for the Montana game since Missoula's the home of the Grizzlies and that game would obviously get better ratings. But then, the ABC affiliate decides to compete by showing Montana State play EWU instead of Ohio State/Penn State (which I really wanted to see). Â The thing is that all the fans that don't follow national teams to the point that they'd watch the MSU game are watching the UM game any way, so all it does is screw me over without helping their ratings at all. The MSU fanbase is pretty much non-existent in Missoula, and the Cats are terrible anyway as they've lost to a D-II school and 45-0 to another I-AA school in the last two weeks. Â I know no one really cares, but I'm pissed off and I had to vent somewhere. I suppose I'll be getting all the prime afternoon football games pre-empted all year long now.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Iggy, I've never heard of anything like that happening. Seems so weird to me. Â Joe Paterno just run across the field and into the locker room while Penn State was setting up to punt. Really, really odd. I hope he's not dying or something.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 iggy, you need to get your local channels through satellite, or something. That's some strong bs there.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Holy crap, ASU's defense is useless.
Hawk 34 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Kent up 31-3 on Bowling Green. There goes UB's good chance at win #2. Â Not true. They get Miami in a couple weeks.
Urban Warfare Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Buffalo does what LSU couldn't: score a touchdown on Auburn!
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Oooh... Navy loses on a blocked PAT in OT.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 What the fuck. Â Can you please hold Cal to a play under 50 yards you pieces of shit.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Nice defense. Why bother covering anyone.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Hey. All my pathetic teams are losing! Â Oh, and stop trolling me. Reported! Ban!
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 That was a horrible roughing the kicker call on OSU.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Go Penn State! All I really had to say. Not a contender but a good enough team after last year's awesome victory. Hope they beat Ohio State, a team I really hate since as a child/teen I was a huge Michigan fan and am starting to dig them again now. Â STUPID penality to end/continue the first half on OSU.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Cal might score 70 today.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 On the plus side, this ASU backup RB is a HOSS~! Breaking tackles left and right. Everything else is bad.
cabbageboy Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Well, U of L avoided a letdown today and got past Kansas St. 24-6. I'm glad to get that one out of the way, since it was one that alarmed me when the schedule came out. I don't think this is the K-State of 1998 however. Just gotta get healthy and get through the Middle TN game, then Cincy, and then Cuse on the road and then the big one vs..... Â West Virginia.
jwest27 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Holy crap, that was an awesome play by Troy Smith.
Guest Princess Leena Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Yep, there's a play that can go on Troy Smith's Heisman resume.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 Alabama's kicker missed his second 30 yards or less field goal of the day. Ugly stuff. Mitch Mustain, however, has been terrible today, and Arkansas is playing incredibly conservative ball so he doesn't throw another pick. I'm taking Alabama 23-17 in OT. Let's see what happens.
Guest Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 He's the worst kicker I've ever seen.
