Guest Felonies!
Czech always talks about how much he hates Dems but he never talks about his opinions on issues, except I know he's said that he's against gay marriage and made some comment once about how "Americans don't want the kind of families Democrats want". Thus I am going to assume that Czech is some kind of Christian fundamentalist who (rightly) feels that homosexuality is the number one issue facing America today.

Actually I voted against the gay marriage ban today and I haven't been to church in years. I thought I was just a moderate Republican, but you know more than I know.

Duh, he hates the Democrats because John Stewart is a jerk.

Or I agree with more Republican policies than Democratic, though that's still few?

It was a joke, Felonies! You know I know you're not a damn fundamentalist!

One never can tell. It's one of those nights where I'm the one who feels cornered by you guys. I guess I deserve it, though, what with my failure to be a big-government liberal.

And Tennessee is out, according to CNN. Boo.

Democrats have to sweep the remaining three. I'm confident about Montana, Missouri will be a narrow victory, and Virginia will be unknown until at least tomorrow.

Man, we might not know who controls the Senate for a few days. I'd go to bed if Montana and Missouri weren't still up for grabs.

Oh come now, the 2002 and 2004 threads simply had it the other way around. 2002 more than 2004 though. I'm tempted to dig up those threads just to see how dumb I sounded back then.

Hey, I'll take my licks here. It's your time to shine.

It's because St Louis and KC are always the last in, in this state the Republican almost always gets out to a big lead due to the small areas then it's a question if they can hang on.

I didn't like Wolf Blitzer being upbeat when announcing Democrat wins, then downbeat when announcing Repulican wins especially the latest in Tennessee. Why doesn't he just admit who he's rooting for? Same for Anderson Cooper when talking to Carville: And from Tennessee, the news isn't good (pauses a few seconds and realizes what he's said) for Democrats.

So..if the Senate gets split 50/50 its as good as Republican right?

Yup. The Vice President doesn't cast a tiebreaking vote too often, but the potential for that is always made into a big deal.

I'm leaning McCaskill because Talent has never had a big lead during the whole thing. Usually if the Republican doesn't have a giant lead going into about 10 PM they're cooked because when KC and St Louis come in they will start falling back.

It looks like the Dems should take Montana....from all I've been hearing Webb should take Virginia and I like McCaskill in Missouri for reasons I stated.

Man this sounds like a record turn out rate. Good for Democracy.

Yeah, but the political climate of the country is unpleasantly hostile, wouldn't you say?

So for the next 2 years nothing will get done in Washington with a Democrat HOR and a Republican Senate..

Taking what you can get, huh.

That bugged me going into these elections though, to be honest. CNN over the last few weeks has pretty much dropped the impartial face. It might be an outcome I like, but I'd still rather the reporting keep up the image. EDIT: Can you blame 'em, though? Fox is balancing them out nicely, if that's any consolation. Any good will Shepard Smith built during Katrina was pissed away around midnight when he went off on an anti-Democratic rant.

I want to be at that political geek party, if only to hit on CNN's internet reporters.

They should just admit who they're going for. By the way in my state, TN, probably the whitest county in the state voted for Ford by about 30 percent. So much for the "racist ad" the national media couldn't be quiet about affecting the race here.

McCaskill 754,879 48%

Talent(Incumbent) 753,698 48%

McCaskill caught him....

Where did you get that from?

It was on the KC Star website.......

What was funny about that was that I didn't like the ad because it was another content-free character attack. I never considered it racist.
