For one thing, I'm pretty sure Jake Peavy doesn't have a broken rib or whatever he had last year, so I doubt the Cards will be able to light him up like last year. I have watched less than ten games the entire season, like usual, and the Cubs lost every single time, like usual. Now behold, these will be 75% correct or better: Yankees vs Tigers: THE YANKEES A's vs Twins: TWINS From the AL...the TWINS. Cards vs. Fathers: THE PADRES Mets vs. Dodgers: THE METS From the NL: THE METS And the Mets will win the world series. Sidenote: I have not watched the Cubs win a baseball game either live or on TV since I went to a game around 8 or 9 years ago and saw them beat the Brewers at Wrigley. Yeah the month of September was embarassing, and their offense has a penchant for letting Pujols do all the work and everybody else taking October off, but I think this team will compete every game, and I think Carpenter has a slight edge over Peavy.
