FF Trade?

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I've got this hellishly competitive league amongst friends here in the DC area, so doing good is of upmost imporantance.

The owner of Chad Johnson is panicing. I smell blood. The deal is this

Chad Johnson / Ben Watson for Javon Walker / Marquis Colston.

Now, I love both Walker and Colston. But Colston's value is in the fact that in Yahoo he is TE eligible. My TE is Todd Heap. I am obviously not pulling Todd Heap. I could flex Colston, but my flex player is Reggie Bush. I'm not panicing on Bush yet, and his performance has been solid enough for a flex player.

My WR's are Santana Moss, Javon Walker, Greg Jennings, Houshmanzadeh, Doug Gabriel. I have excellent WR depth.

I don't like taking on two Bengals, but I would likely trade Housh to upgrade RB or QB.

Approve or Disapprove? Ultimately, its how you value Chad Johnson. I don't think he's this bad...

I'd do that in a heartbeat...

Watson is still a very solid option as a backup TE, and Johnson is miles better than Walker. Plus, you have good WR depth, but no studs. Johnson is a Top 5 WR, at least.

I'm a little worried about this trade. While Colston is only valued as a TE, he's becoming more and more Brees favorite target and getting lots of touches.

I know you have Heap and Bush, but frankly, Colston keeps putting up solider numbers better than Watson. I'd see if you can wiggle out of not trading him, or at least getting more out of it than just CJ. Not much more (otherwise getting labeled greedy), but something you need.

Because you basically are trading Walker and Colston for CJ and frankly, you aren't getting full value.

I'm a subscriber to Reagonomics Trickle Down Theory - which states that a random team will drop a player onto the free agent market that will benefit your team. Now that BYE weeks are here there will be people who will panic and drop some good players to fill out positions in need.

I don't put much value on Chad Johnson now that TJ, Henry, Washington are becoming breakout players for the Bengals. You know Chad isn't even the best player with the name Johnson if I were you I would be looking to trade for Keyshaun or Rudi.

I'm thinking about doing this trade:

Lee Evans, Kevin Jones

and in return I'd get:

Andre Johnson, Chester Taylor

My receivers as of now are Lee Evans, Larry Fitz, Chris Chambers, Braylon Edwards and my RBs are Westbrook,Portis, K. Jones, F. Gore, and L. Jordan.

I wanted to get Johnson because Ive been dissapointed with Chambers and without a reliable QB Im not even too sure about Fitz.

Also, my TE is Alge Crumpler, so I may look to update at that position at some point.

Tough one. I wouldn't accept because Evans is an pro-bowler in the making. Taylor is a slight improvement over Jones, just because he's playing every down.

Sep 30 Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Denver Broncos WR Javon Walker was asked by team officials to apologize for spitting water on a team cheerleader during a Sept. 17 game. Walker reportedly spit the water out as he was returning to the field following a second-half timeout, hitting one of the cheerleaders.

Oct 1 Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson (shoulder) sustained a bruised shoulder during the Week 4 game but was able to return.
