naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 A small plane (previously reported as a helicopter) hit a building on 72nd St & York Avenue in Manhattan, and of course the news media and cops are all over it like it was a terrorist attack even though right now it's being ruled an accident. The "eyewitnesses" don't really strike me as 100% credible. I really hope this doesn't become another city crippling event with police presence slowing everything to a halt. EDIT: According to CNN, NORAD has decided to launch fighter planes to do patrols over several US cities. This is retarded.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 seems like nothing terrorism related according to what i'm reading. as far as I know the fighter plane patrol is standard operation procedure since 9/11. might as well be safer rather than sorry. but sounds like nothing major. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 Condolences to Lidle his family, and the other victims involved....... but fuck the media for treating this like mini-9/11 for three hours when it was fairly obvious from the start that it was an accident.
