Star Ocean 3 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 Nothing is considered big until March. March and April are the months that you deserve that top echelon of teams. Novemeber really is nothing. biggest game yet of the season's tomorrow. biggest game yet yet yet yet c'mon, it's not bad to get into games, no matter what month it is. no need to start this boring "early regular season doesn't matter" nonsense with me. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 It's important. Yes. But honestly you face them 8 times a year. Right now, especially for Anaheim or San Jose, its just bragging rights right now. It'll be different come March when your going for home ice/facing an 6-7-8th seed team.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 For Chris, has Joe Corvo been any good. He's been pretty good. 12 points in 16 games, can't really complain. He hasn't been as good on the power play as I'd hoped, but then, the whole power play has been really horrible until recently. He's been a little spotty at times defensively, too, but nothing seriously bad. For the money the Sens are paying him, I'm satisfied.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 Star, even if you did say "yet", a simple use of your bold tool would have been just as effective as quoting yourself four or five times.

Star Ocean 3 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 The duck is perhaps the least feared of all Nature's waterfowl. It's diminutive appearance and non-threatening demeanor hardly give the image of a fearsome foe. By contrast, the shark is a monster in the seas. Its name alone can send a hundreds of beachgoers running for their lives. Tonight, the hockey embodiment of these two creatures will meet for the first time this season. The San Jose Sharks have lived up to their namesake, devouring the competition. The Anaheim Ducks have certainly made this author more than a little apprehensive the next time I stop by the park pond. This is not a game to be missed. Hey, CanadianGuitarist, remember our 2k5 hockey league, and the articles that we wrote about our rivalery. Had some great pictures between that. CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Fuck, Scuba, beat me to it by about five minutes. My first instinct as soon as I saw Max's pic was, indeed, the flaming ship from the oil spill when you mathematically eliminated me thanks to Chris Simon's OT goals. Bastard. 2-0 Rangers with 30 to play. Shanny has taken the league lead in goals.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 5-0 Ducks. Can we all agree now that it's generally a waste of time to hype any regular-season game, particularly a divisional matchup?
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 5-0 Ducks. Can we all agree now that it's generally a waste of time to hype any regular-season game, particularly a divisional matchup? We certainly can when said game didn't have the reigning Richard winner playing. His rival for that trophy last year, Jaromir Jagr, became Europe's all-time NHL goal leader last night. Did Selanne score in the Anaheim rout? He's only three away from 500....with 1/7th of that coming in his rookie year(I really like that stat for some reason). A more appropriate thing to say would have been "I'm looking forward to what will, no-doubt, be a great game in SoCal tonight"...or even "This game may well be one of the most exciting we'll see this year". EDIT: I obviously do not remember correctly. He had two goals last night. EDIT THE SECOND: At least I partially remembered correctly. He had five assists in the win over Phoenix on the weekend. Red Baron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 John Ferguson Jr. received an extension for her contract. And is Paul Maurice ever happy? I mean he can win the Stanley Cup and still be bitter on his team not performing to their peak.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 John Ferguson Jr. received an extension for her contract. Maybe it WAS Quinn and not JFJ after all. Or maybe the Leafs are going to go in the tank right after hearing this news.
KGB 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2006 The Buffalo-Toronto game has been a fucking ref show. The penalty call on Briere for a mere light tap on Battaglia with his stick is probably the worst one I've seen this season. I don't think we watch hockey to see some idiot referees make shitty calls every ten seconds.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted November 23, 2006 I'm still waiting to see when you know, reality starts hitting in with Buffalo Me too. Someday, the Sabres' defensemen have to be somewhat healthy. Then, total domination would ensue.
Guest Report post Posted November 23, 2006 Whenever a team figures out that the way to beat Buffalo is by playing dirty as fuck and making huge hits, then reality will set in. Because that's the only way this team will be beaten in the playoffs. These guys have to be taken out to be beat.

Because that's the only way this team will be beaten in the playoffs. These guys have to be taken out to be beat. No one's over 6 feet. Max may tear me a new asshole for this, but if Boston's D does nothing else(insert joke here), they can take care of Buffalo forwards. Maybe no Boston. But, as Baron eluded to a month ago....Beat they physically, outlast them physically. No team in the league can beat Buffalo on skill.
