MrRant 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 I'm with the crowd that says it will tone itself down as you can't have players complaining right after, during the foul shots and then back down the court like Payton would do. Though how they are calling it now is BS.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 i love how "good guys" like Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, and Cassell (though maybe he does or doesn't qualify) can throw mini tantrums and complain, but other players with less rep can get techs for yelping "Oohh!" after a blocked shot. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 I think Cassell probably would have been T'ed up instantly if it wasn't right at the end of a close game. In that situation, complaining will be let go, unless it involves obvious T/ejection-worthy stuff such as the aforementioned NVE incident (which was blown way out of proportion, btw). Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2006 yeah, I can see the Ts come out earlier on in games just to kind of set the tone that the refs want the players to follow...maybe not so much during the clutch moments of the game at the end unless it REALLY got out of hand. Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2006 The best thing about the rule so far is that it appears to have eliminated the one thing that pissed me off the most. Which is when make or miss a player turns to the ref and does the I got slapped/hit on the wrist gesture. Wade did it basically after every shot in previous seasons. Annoying the fuck out of me.
