Bored 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Uh oh...CONTROVERSY~! Edwin MacPhisto is snake bitten by the rankings again this week as he gets hopped by two teams, despite winning and now having an outstanding 10-1 record. But next week it's huge match-up against Spaceman Spiff and then a potential WAC title game that will likely decide who ends up in the BCS Title Game. Less than 2 rating points seperate 1 thru 4 so major changes can still happen. Another shocker in this week's rankings is who's #10...4-7, AlwaysPissedOff. All I can say is APO is in Top 10 in correct picks and all the drop outs have completely fucked the bottom of the rankings. Really just pay attention to the Top 6 and ignore the rest at this point. If I do the contest for a 4th year I already have an idea of what changes will be made. Just want to stress next week even for those who are out of bowl contention or only cared about winning the contest, pleasssssssse post your picks for the final week even if you've lost interest. I had six dead teams this week and I can't afford to have anymore. Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 11 1. Miami - Spaceman Spiff 4.55 2. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 5.4 3. Syracuse - CanandianChris 5.65 4. Virginia - Edwin MacPhisto 6.25 5. South Carolina - Cuban Linx 7.45 6. Oregon - nogoodnick 10.1 7. Hawaii - Will Scarlet 10.9 8. Stanford - Bored 12.15 9. Minnesota - Vern Gagne 14.15 10. Alabama - AlwaysPissedOff 15.8 Other Receiving Votes: Arizona State (Spicy McHaggis), Notre Dame (Lando Griffin), Rutgers (the pinjockey), Texas (UTBroward) Locked Up Bowl Bids Virginia Georgia Tech Syracuse South Carolina Oregon UCLA Miami Arizona State Kentucky San Jose State Bowl Eligible Stanford Minnesota Notre Dame LSU USC Kent State So now 10 out of 18 bids are locked up with 6 who can lock up bids with a win next week. There's at least 8 other teams who still can become eligible but there is possibly more once I figure out the conference title tiebreaks.
Bored 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Okay I've decided trying to figure out all the scenerios for the conference championships is too much to do tonight. Here are the few things that I know for sure: -Southeastern Seven Championship game will be Kentucky (Danville Wrestling) vs. South Carolina (Cuban Linx). -Georgia Tech (iggymcfly) has locked up a spot in the Western Atlantic title game. -USC (Cartman) has locked up a spot in the Pac-8 title game. I might try to figure everything out tommorrow but don't hold your breath especially when it comes to the Big MAC. Edited: I just realzied the WAC title game is not set. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 It figures that I'd have a big week in the contest and move into the Top 2 the week I had my worst gambling week of the year. The inverse correlation is so strong it's scary.

Bored 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 How many wins do we need to be bowl eligible? Six. So how many more weeks are left before the Bowl games start up and we crown a playoff-less champion? One week left in the regular season and then their is the conference championships which will take two weeks. After that the bowls will be set.
