snuffbox 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2006 Wisconsin beat Iowa today to go 10-1. The Badgers' starting qb was out, and a cornerback, and PJ Hill lost a rare fumble but they still beat the incredibly overhyped (up until a few weeks ago) Hawkeyes in Iowa for the first time in years. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2006 I kinda had a feeling that Auburn was overrated most of the year. I certainly didn't expect this big of a flameout, but I knew they wouldn't be winning the SEC or anything. I can't believe Cox's numbers though. Four completions and four interceptions? 35 total yards passing? WTF! The best part is that watching College Gameday this morning, they were totally ripping Georgia's pass defense, and saying how Auburn would completely exploit it. Corso was predicting it would be a huge blowout to the point that even Fowler and Herbstreit started telling him it was a stupid prediction. I don't think he even follows college football anymore, he just enjoys dressing up and yelling at the camera.
dh86 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2006 dh86 is the new Dama, but he's the spinoff character that moved to Michigan. Like Frasier. Except, y'know, not. I have a bad feeling that Florida is going to mutilate South Carolina by 31 or more. hows Clemson looking nowadays?
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2006 That's totally something Dama would do; try to start an argument about a post someone made a month ago. I can totally see the comparison now that I think about it. Just make about 100 more posts like that each week and you'll be there.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Hmm...I have to wonder. With Florida struggling and looking shitty today, Cal losing, and Auburn tanking will U of L really fall terribly far due to the Rutgers loss? Let's see, there's Michigan and OSU on top, I'm assuming Texas or Florida will be a wholly underserved #3 and the other #4, USC at #5, ND at #6, and maybe from that point Rutgers at #7? I'm still terrified that U of L will somehow end up behind WVU even after just beating them (and if that happens be prepared for me to go off on an anti BCS tirade the likes of which hasn't ever been seen on this board). Not sure I see anyone else besides Rutgers really making a huge leap in the rankings. I'm hoping U of L just drops to #8 or so.

Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 With every game played this week, Michigan vs. Ohio State in the BCS championship game becomes closer and closer to being a reality. At this point, there are probably 7 teams that can realistically have a shot at the title game: OSU, Michigan, Florida, Texas, USC, Rutgers, and Arkansas. I'm leaving out Notre Dame because it would be a joke if they passed a 1-loss UM team that killed them on their home field earlier in the season.

What's the point in going off on a rant over the rankings of two teams who don't have a shot at the championship game? If Louisville had gotten their shit together this week they wouldn't have to worry about where they will end up ranked among the pretenders. And they arn't going to play in a BCS game anyway unless they win the Big East so their ranking isn't really all that important at this point.
Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Boise State losing to San Jose State 6-7 at halftime. A BSU loss here would benefit all these teams who seem to be trying to lose their way out of hte BCS.
Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 I can't believe I'm going to defend the Badgers, but at what point does Wisconsin move into or around the top 10? They have a respectable loss to Michigan and the only other blip on their record is a close call against Illinois. They are lacking in quality wins but they have at least taken care of business. I have a bad feeling that Florida is going to mutilate South Carolina by 31 or more. hows Clemson looking nowadays? Boy, you make a comment that, at that time, a collapse by all the usual suspects would lead to Clemson being in the national title game thanks to a weak conference and a lot of dumb luck and it haunts you forever. Tennessee's offense remembered that they're supposed to be the ones who score points. Arkansas is playing their asses off.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 Wait a second, I thought you hated South Carolina? Or something about hating their fans? They're in the SEC East, have obnoxious fans from years of losing, and Steve Spurrier coaches them. I half-heartedly rooted for them against Florida today, but that's the closest I come to cheering them all season.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 No nevermind. I got confused as to who SC/Tennessee were playing today. I thought it was Arkansas/SC and you were saying "We're a second half team", so that led to the confusion. My apologies.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2006 (hangs self) I've got 2004 season flashbacks. Whoever plays us in a bowl had best be worried as we limp our way to a couple of wins to close out the season. We'll have time to heal up. SEC Champion Arkansas might actually go down with this weird-ass streetball offense. My favorite remains Nevada's offense. Florida State is completely impotent. I hope I get USC/Oregon in some form.
