Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Chris Benoit beat Tatanka after Tatanka (who looked awful) tapped out to the Sharpshooter. Post-match, Chavo Guerrero laid Benoit out with a chair.
Thanks for the Fish Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Is Idol Stevens hurt or have they realized that he and James as a tagteam had nothing to offer?
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Mr Kennedy cut a promo on the TitanTron. He said he’s the future of the business and that he had surpassed The Undertaker.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - William Regal came out to a huge pop and went on to beat Paul London via pinfall after a running kneelift.
bob_barron Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 REGAL V. LONDON on my birthday???? Best. Smackdown!. Ever.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Michael Cole brought some fans from ringside into the ring and got them to start up some football chants. Two of the fans supported Manchester United, a third a Liverpool fan.
Black Lushus Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I know I've harped about Harry Smith a lot in the past, forgive me...but wouldn't it make some sense to debut the kid during one of these England shows? I don't know how well known he is there, but being the son of Davey Boy Smith has gotta bring some automatic overness of some kind, right? IMO, he should have been the one answering...and winning...the Masterlock Challenge.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 He's still being 'trained' in OVW. Still, it couldn't have hurt to have him work a dark match.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - MVP beat Kane via pinfall in a Street Fight after interference from Ken Kennedy. The Undertaker made the save and the heels bailed out. Kennedy then threw MVP into the ring where he was met with a double chokeslam.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 - MVP beat Kane I think my brain just exploded.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Matt Hardy beat Gregory Helms via pinfall in a non-title match after a Twist of Fate.
Thanks for the Fish Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Any word on how long the London/Regal match was given?? How many times has Helms and Hardy wrestled lately? That's 5-6 times in the last couple of months now...
Black Lushus Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 How many times has Helms and Hardy wrestled lately? That's 5-6 times in the last couple of months now... I'm thinking the same thing...next thing you know, we'll get a best-of-7 series for the Cruiserweight belt.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 And Matt ties the series at 1,203 wins a piece!
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Backstage, Teddy Long announced that next week on Smackdown, MVP would again face Kane, this time in a Cage match.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - While the cameras weren’t rolling, fans were treated to seeing Big Dick Johnson in the ring, rubbing himself up against Tony Chimmel.
TheFranchise Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 - While the cameras weren’t rolling, fans were treated to seeing Big Dick Johnson in the ring, rubbing himself up against Tony Chimmel. Damn, we missed the best part.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 - Batista & Bobby Lashley beat King Booker and Finlay in the main event after Batista pinned Booker following a spinebuster. Show's over now.
Thanks for the Fish Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 So Lashley is still on SD! eventhough he showed up in ECW? I guess this ensures that Lashley will win the title because if they were only using a "wwe" talent to help sell the PPV they'd have chosen somebody bigger than Lashley.
bob_barron Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Sounds like an eh show, but Regal-London is going to be awesome no matter how long it goes
Scroby Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Sounds like I made good picks from Smackdown on my fantasy roster this week.
Epic Reine Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Sheesh, every time Matt beats Helms, it's non-title. Why don't they just give him the strap? It's not like Helms has done anything spectacular with the belt in his 10 month reign.
TheFranchise Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Remember the last time Hardy won the belt..? Better get running, Matt.
trackc53 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 they should just get the belt off of Helms, but don't give it to Hardy. They don't need a belt for this feud.
Guest Bammey Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Should've had Helms beat Hardy. Gives Helms more of the heelish edge every other member of his team has going into the match, well except for Knox but I can see him getting the upperhand on Punk in the coming weeks backstage. Helms winning would've made the Hardyz making him look like a fool at SurSeries more special. Then Hardy could beat him for the gold on the following SD.
Guest Batman5000 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 He's still being 'trained' in OVW. Still, it couldn't have hurt to have him work a dark match. I thought they let Harry Smith skip OVW. Second how good does an Indy wrestler has to be. To be able skip OVW or HWA.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Sounds like an eh show, but Regal-London is going to be awesome no matter how long it goes This is from another report (3) William Regal defeated Paul London (with Ashley at ringside) in easily the best match of the night. This is not my British bias showing through, this really was a very good match that should play well on tv. These two worked extremely well together and Regal put on a real clinic. He was clearly motivated and on his game tonight. Surprisingly the crowd was split early (probably due to the high number of young kids who like London) but as the match wore on, they were far more in favour of Regal. Key moment in the match saw Regal throw London over the top rope, and he accidentally landed on Ashley, who sold the bump big time. Regal didn’t really play heel during this match, and received a big crowd pop for his win. After the match, Brian Kendrick ran out and consoled both London and Ashley.
Art Sandusky Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 There wasn't a Smackdown thread I guess... For some reason, the picture quality of the show is awful tonight. I knew it was going to look a little different like Raw since it's in Britain and all, but this is just bad.
Guest Hotbutter Spoontoaster Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 He's still being 'trained' in OVW. Still, it couldn't have hurt to have him work a dark match. Harry Smith isn't in OVW.
