Hitting A Deer With Your Car

I've come really close to doing this on several occasions,(including a couple just in the last few weeks), but have never slammed into a deer yet. I was just curious how many of you this has happened to if any. Discuss.

Like five or six times, yeah. I used to live out in the boonies, and I drive really fast. I also used to have a late 60's cadillac beater that would annihilate even the largest wildlife.

Yeah, that was me that hit the deer going about 65 mph. Put a nice dent on the car and in my wallet at $2600. Thank goodness insurance covered most of it.

I was in my uncle's truck up in Vanderhoof, British Columbia a few years ago and hit a Moose. This was a Ford F-250 Diesel and it was scrapped to hell, while the Moose just walked away. Hit it about a good 40mph

I also had this happen five or six times. Had a Delta 88 that my friends dubbed "the Deer Killa" Hit Many deer in it and never got a single dent every (just lots of deer hair in the cracks, a couple scraches) minor things. My friends eventually put a skull with antlers to the grill of the car. Ive had other cars since then where I hardly touch the deer and it destroy's the car. I had a deer bump his head off my ford escort and did 300 dollars of damage.

This thread reminded me of that Crank Yankers episode where the guy calls in to his insurance company after hitting "a deer."

The thought of a deer reading a sign and walking down the road to cross at the proper wildlife crossing made me laugh.
