The Ladder to the Intercontinental Championship

hardywinsbelt.jpg

The dogfight for the Intercontinental Championship has gotten bitter for Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro. Hardy was able to regain the championship last week, but after the match, Nitro solidified his standing as a sore loser by attacking Hardy and slamming him in the face with a ladder.

What will happen when Hardy defends his championship against Nitro in a Ladder Match? The confidence must be swelling inside of Hardy, who has participated in some of the most brutal and memorable Ladder Matches in WWE history. Nitro on the other hand, has no experience.

Watch Raw Monday night at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to find out who walks away with the gold.

If Nitro somehow wins the IC title tonight, and Rated RKO do NOT lose the tag titles tonight, then Team Rated RKO could feasibly be nicknamed "Team Gold"

They'll have the World Tag, IC, and Cruiserweight titles all on their side, and depending on which comes first and the result, maybe the Women's Title at ringside with them.

Just a random observation caused by thinking a lot today.

European date numbering is so lame. Well to me. I'm sure ours looks silly to you. Why can't we just be universal?:)

The World Tag, IC, Women's, and Cruiserweight Titles are all heatless props that mean nothing, BTW.

Come to think of it, probably only Cena's Title actually means anything these days, as every other Raw/Smackdown/ECW/TNA title is thrown around like a used tampon.

I'd like a long, 25-minute, 2 commercial IC Title match, since it's really the only hot angle they have, but I wouldn't expect either the champion or challenger to be capable of working such a match.

I wonder who the replacement legend will be? Probably Duggan or someone disappointing.

With SS being in Philadelphia and with the Flair connection, I really would like them to give a call to Funk.

Anyways, they need to promote the DX/RKO tag match by involving Matt/Helms/Punk/Knox. In fact, introduce Punk to the Raw audience by having him wrestle Orton. They have worked house shows together, so it's not a stretch.

UPDATE

ECW and SmackDown to invade RAW?

By Craig Tello

November 20, 2006

Just hours before Raw goes live, reports are that all members from all Survivor Series teams will be present in Baltimore tonight. This includes competitors from both ECW and SmackDown. If the rumors are true, it could be a very volatile situation just six days before Survivor Series.

Suspicions were amplified as WWE.com witnessed CM Punk – a member of Team DX – step into a taxi at a downtown Baltimore hotel, and the spotting of the Extreme Giant Big Show at a local restaurant earlier.

Could the ECW World Champion and Survivor Series team captain be in town for tonight’s edition of Raw? What does this mean for the Raw roster on hand at the First Mariner Arena in Baltimore?

I know Nitro and Hardy are booked in a match at SurSer, but how they can give away a ladder match six days before the biggest remaining PPV is just non-sensical to me.

Hardy and Nitro are in a Survivor Series match. Not a singles match.

Different match dynamics.

ChrisMWaters, do you have ANY idea how annoying your sig is for those people who are watching TNA on tape delay? I have to try and stay out of any thread you're in in addition to the TNA folder because I don't see TNA PPVs until a week after you.

That's ridiculous. Make sure not to put who won the game yesterday in your sig in case I missed it and have to watch it one week later than everyone else!

It's like a WAR random multiman tag.

I'm expecting Bob Backlund, Mil Mascaras, Phi Delta Slam, and Typhoon to walk down the aisle next.
