2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 What is Florida doing offensive anyway? They seem to go Qb draw, stupid pitch play 10 yards behind the line and then Leak throwing the ball into traffic trying to kill his receivers. The Noles defense is suddenly alive and pissed. And Buster Davis wearing #50 in honor of Ron "DAMN!" Simmons.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 This is the type of shit Florida has been doing all year long. Strong first half, and then in the second half, the offense folds. Prime example: Simple, good pass route by Baker, gain of 25. Next play, a reverse? Dan Mullen is a horrible play caller.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Wow, I am shocked that USF went into Morgantown and beat WVU 24-19. WVU was favored by like 3 TDs in that game too. I can't decide what to think of this result. On one hand it gives U of L a decent shot at winning the Big East outright next week, but on the other hand WVU beating Rutgers doesn't exactly look surefire at this point. Given the way things usually go for U of L football it'll probably end up a tie at 11-1 with Rutgers and they go to the BCS and U of L will of course get totally screwed out of a BCS at large. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 USF knocks off West Virginia, all but eliminating them from the BCS.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 I've learned today that WVU sucks ass and Florida doesn't deserve so much as a sniff of the BCS title game.
Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 If USC loses tonight I can't see any way anyone is going to pass Michigan in the BCS at this point. Unless Notre Dame wins by something like 4 touchdowns, which won't happen.

This game didn't impact the Big East at all. It still comes down to next week's Rutgers/WV game, just like it did before. West Virginia's chances of winning the conference and the BCS bid were nil unless Louisville lost anyway.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 That was a pretty bad call on fourth down by FSU. Why would you call such a low-percentage play as a long sideline pass? And into double coverage at that.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Fuck! I was just getting set to watch the Jackets take out the Bulldogs in Clean Old Fashioned Hate, and I turn the set to CBS to see.... the Grizzlies' stupid fucking playoff game. I'm going to move before next college football season. The PPV package wouldn't even help me here because CBS has exclusive rights.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Florida wins. I don't see any way for them to play in the title game, though, based on this game.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Wow, not even I will argue that Florida should be in the title game. I'm simply mystified with how this team plays in second halves of games. I just don't get it. If not for the defense, this team is 8-4 at best.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 I think Arkansas rebounds and takes out Florida next week anyway, so it'll be a moot point. Jesus, I just watched the end of that UK/Tennessee game. UK has the ball on the 3 yard line with a couple minutes left, and does a DELAY OF GAME that pushes them back to the 8. Being UK, they just turn the ball over on downs from there and go on to lose 17-12. Did I mention UK also missed an extra point and a 33 yard FG? CanadianChris, don't think you quite grasped what I meant in that previous point. I've assumed for weeks that WVU would simply crush Rutgers and thus U of L gets the BCS, but with WVU laying an egg today I am a bit worried that they will lay down for Rutgers next week now that their BCS hopes are history. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 It's possible, but I think they're better-coached than that. I think this was just a trap game, right between the Backyard Brawl and the big Rutgers game.

Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 That was an exciting game. With BSU taking care of business right now, it looks like the Fiesta Bowl will be Oklahoma/Nebraska vs. Boise State. I think Oklahoma wins the Big 12 championship and play in the BCS. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Stupid, stupid possession for Georgia Tech there. On 2nd and 18, they basically decide they're not going for the first down and run it up the middle for a gain of 1. OK, at least they're not going to turn it over. So what do they do on 3rd down then? Obviously run it again and punt right? No, they leave Ball to drop back with a full pass rush selling out against him, he fumbles and Georgia returns it for a TD. He better fucking pick it up in the fourth quarter.
MFer 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 This is what Chris Berman would do for Calvin Johnson: da da, da da, da dada, da da da da da da da da(if i only had a real quarterback).
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 I changed my mind. Reggie Ball doesn't need to step it up at all. They just need to do exactly what they did that last drive and give it to Tashard Choice every single play. They tried one pass play last drive, Calvin Johnson was wide open in the end zone, and Ball missed him by five yards. The rest of the time, they pounded Choice, and the result was six points. The way the defense has been playing, I think a 5 point lead should be enough as long as they don't do anything stupid.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 Brutal throw by Reggie Ball. I think there was a second defender closer to that ball than Johnson was.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2006 I can't WAIT until Reggie Ball graduates. He played like he was a fucking freshman again today. What a terrible, terrible game. If he'd thrown every pass incomplete today, and gone down for no gain on every rushing attempt, Georgia Tech would have gotten the victory.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2006 If Rutgers beats West Virginia by say 3-7 points, could you tell me what you think their ranking would be heading into the Bowl Games and what Bowl they'd likely be in?
