OK, Martin, you hit the FG.

Now don't start jumping up and down like a fucking moron and tear your ACL.

FUCK FUCK FUCK.

Of course Coughlin calls that timeout and leaves too much time on the clock.

Can he please be fired? Everything we brought him in for (discipline) we suck at.

Coughlin needs to go. The time out was REALLY fucking retarded...I knew all that time on the clock would bite them in the ass.

While I'm usually first in line in the "NO FG's on 4th and 1 for Feely" group, that was such a close kick, I highly doubt he'd have missed.

To be fair, it's not like the team loud mouths were upstanding citizens before Coughlin came in.

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about how he was brought in to bring disipline, yet they have FOUR FOUR FOUR fucking unsportsmanlike penalties, 3 false starts (at home!!!), and are close to last in the league in penalties.

He needs to go, he's lost the team.

Looks like it's New Orleans at Dallas on NBC next week.

Yep...

The road to the other First-Round Bye goes through Dallas for the time being.

Dallas is looking more vulnerable than I'd thought, but they're still a solid team.

The Saints are making things work on both sides of the ball right now, shutting down the #1 rusher in the league while getting their own running game going.

This will be a great game.

How can Romo get anything?

2 INTs, no TDs?

Tony Romo, the media darling? Yeah, he'll get coverage for his "character" and "poise" at the end of the game.

The media should focus more on Gramatica. He saved their asses.

Four games left for the Giants. @Carolina, home for the Eagles, home for the Saints, @Washington. Certainly 2 of those they SHOULD win. Next week all depends on *which* Carolina team shows up. At home against the Saints will be tough, but winnable.

Oh man, this could end up being a fantastic day for the Jets. Chiefs lose, Jaguars are losing, and Broncos have a very tough task ahead of them tonight. There's no telling how important today might be in determining their playoff hopes.

As for the game itself, the Jets looked terrific despite the disastrous third quarter. Every aspect of their offense was working remarkably well, and even though the run defense still looked shaky, the ten points allowed signifies a great performance overall. Very, very well done.

The last few weeks of the season are going to be incredible.

While the Jags didn't lose, the Dolphin lost sorta takes them out of it, because they were getting pretty close. Same wit the Chargers beating the Bills. The Jaguars have the tiebreaker, but they also have some tough teams left.

The 2nd quarter was like the best quarter ever. Pennington was tearing them up left and right.

I'm not real big on coaches having a real impact in sports, but Coughlin has to go. I have no idea who could fix this mess, but he has to go. The Giants are very conservative when it comes to making coaching changes (keeping Ray Handley for a second year, Reeves hanging on, let's not even talk about the 70s) so I dont expect anything to be done. The scary thing is that with the NFC being so horrible, they are still right in the middle of the playoff hunt. There is a good chance an 8-8 team will make the playoffs in the NFC this year.

Yeah, it's no secret that the best thing the Jets have going for them is their strength of remaining schedule. It's completely possible for them to win out (though ten wins should be enough to get a spot and is a record I would be absolutely thrilled with), whereas the rest of the contenders have some very tough games remaining and face each other in some instances.

The Jets remaining home games should be easy (Bills, Raiders) but playing at the Dolphins and even at the Vikings won't be easy. If they can steal one on the road and win their home games, they probably make it.

It won't be easy, but I'm confident that they can win one of those games on the road.

Jay Cutler looks about fourteen years old.

I didn't follow the Jags at all when he was there, but they did make it to one or two AFC title games. I'd assume he had better control there. The Giants no longer respect him, IMO. He has lost control of the team. I doubt he regains it. I'm not sure who else they could bring in, though.

Right now, the AFC Has 5 teams in the WC hunt (with the 4 division leaders ).

New York Jets

Buffalo

@ Minnesota

@ Miami

Oakland

(Incredibly soft schedule to close out the season. None of those teams are playing for a post-season berth. They have a great shot at finishing in the playoffs)

Cincinnati

Oakland

@ Indianapolis

@ Denver

Pittsburgh

(Two very winnable games with Oakland and Indianapolis but @ Denver and against a division rival that always gives them a headache isn’t going to help Cincinnati’s chances. Baltimore has a cupcake schedule to close the year out, so sneaking in as the division winner is unlikely)

Jacksonville

@ Indianapolis

Tennessee

New England

@ Kansas City

(Easily the roughest schedule. Even Tennessee isn’t a lock right now, the way they are playing. Losing games like Washington, Houston (twice) and Buffalo killed their chances and it looks like another mediocre disappointing season)

Denver

@ San Diego

Arizona

Cincinnati

San Francisco

(The result of tonight’s game is obviously crucial as a win propels them into 8-4 and gets them ahead but a lost puts them in the muddle with everyone else @ 7-5. Two relatively winnable games with the NFC West jobbers but the huge pair of games with SD and Cincy. With a rookie QB running the ship, I have to expect them to drop one of those important games)

Kansas City

Baltimore

@ San Diego

Oakland

Jacksonville

(They had a huge opportunity today and squandered it by giving it up to Cleveland in OT. With three playoff caliber teams on the horizon, it might be too much for this team and it’s only inevitable that Herm Edwards goes Herm Edwards at a crucial moment)

With those 5 teams fighting (and the very dark horse 5-7 teams in addition) for the final 2 spots…I think we’ll see NYJ and Cincinnati secure those spots.

The NFC is just a mess right now. If Carolina were to somehow lose to Philly, you'd have both of the wild card teams at 6-6, with two other 6-6 teams and three 5-7 teams giving chase. Even if they win, you've still got six teams at 6-6 or 5-7 fighting for the last playoff spot.

Something else about that Mellencamp commerical; if it's all about nationwide inclusion, why does it feature nothing but white midwesterners?

Bad move, Jay.

The Seahawks are being completely outplayed, but it looks like they're going into the half with at least a tie. Hasselbeck looks awful.

Never mind. They couldn't even get one yard off of the turnover.
