naiwf 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I figured the 248 on the ground would give away that it was Indy that can't tackle anyone. JAX RUSHING F. Taylor - 9 rushes 131 yds, TD, long of 76 M. Jones-Drew - 6 rushes for 115, 2TD, long of 48 D. Garrard - 1 rush, 2 yds. The Colts are "only" allowing 15.5 YPC. Keep in mind that they gave up 191 against the Jags in their prior meeting, and only won because the Jags got stupid and opted to get pass happy, got picked and gave up the lead. They dominated that game and lost. This time, they're just pounding the run over and over again.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Jamal Lewis just carried about 6 KC guys on his back for 7 yards.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 If every team stuck to pounding the run against Indy they would be lucky to be .500 right now
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 As if he hadn't done enough damage on the ground already, Jones-Drew returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a TD. 31-10 Jax.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 The way the defense is playing and how Trent Green is playing, I smell shutout. I just wish the Ravens could put another score on the board, preferably a TD..
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Johnson is slapping Oakland around. He's going to have alot of fun with Indy next week.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Wow, Tampa Bay just gave up one of the worst fumble touchdowns ever and is keeping the equally shitty Falcons in the game.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Both KC and Baltimore are playing terribly. Neither team will be a viable playoff threat.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 "We'll never be without Ravens play by play here at TheSmartmarks.com." After they play the Chargers in the playoffs that'll change. I think they'll meet in the AFC Title game.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Both KC and Baltimore are playing terribly. Neither team will be a viable playoff threat. I want you to elaborate on how just exactly the Ravens are playing Terribly..cause last time I checked they were up 13-0, forced 2 INTs and a Fumble and minus 1 long run have held KC to about 60 yards of offense. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Offensively they suck. They only converted those zillion turnovers into 2 field goals prior to the long bomb.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 The Ravens are in trouble once the playoffs come. We know the offense is horrible and that defense can be scored on as well.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I think New England, San Diego and Indy can beat the Ravens at home or away. Cincy could also knock them off if Palmer's hot. The only likely playoff team with no hope against Baltimore is the Jets, and that's assuming the Jags don't end up sneaking in at #6.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 The Ravens are in trouble once the playoffs come. We know the offense is horrible and that defense can be scored on as well. Last time I checked the last 2 1/2 + weeks they've kept KC and Pittsburgh scoreless and only gave up 13 points to Cincy. The Ravens defense isn't #1 overall for nothing. A +17 turnover margin..averaging about 8 points a game off turnovers. Just like in 2000 the Ravens don't need their offense to score 30 points a game to win..They probably could have won this game without that long TD but it makes it easier because it forces Trent Green to throw the ball and hes been horrible. He just got sacked..and out of FG range too...er..Tynes kicked an almost 50 yarder.. 13-3 And everyone saying "SAN DIEGO can beat the Ravens", I shall reference you to earlier in the year when the Ravens beat them, which if the Chargers lose again, will hopefully cost them Home Field Advantage to the Ravens.. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Unlike 2000 though, the other teams' offenses are much more explosive. You're telling me that San Diego, Indy and etc are worse than Tennessee of 2000?

The only likely playoff team with no hope against Baltimore is the Jets, and that's assuming the Jags don't end up sneaking in at #6. Cincinnati and San Diego are probably the most likely to beat them. Cincy shut them down two weeks ago and they ran the scoreboard up on Baltimore in the first game before self-destructing. San Diego and Indy's offense are lethal, but Indy's defense may hurt them here but that won't be the case with SD. NE is always a wild-card since you can't tell what you'll get from them. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 This Miami D is doing their usual job of giving the Patriots fits... Brady fumbles but they still recovered, not comforting though.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 The Ravens'll be out in the first round of the playoffs, certainly the second if they get that far. I don't think they can hold up against any of the other division champs-to-be (and yes, they beat San Diego once already, but the Chargers have gotten much, much better and are playing the best out of anyone in the league). McNair's entire body will fall apart by then.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Unlike 2000 though, the other teams' offenses are much more explosive. You're telling me that San Diego, Indy and etc are worse than Tennessee of 2000? and again with the San Diego offense.. Week 4 - Ravens 16 San Diego 13 .. is it some sort of coincidence thats the only game they've scored fewer than 21 points or was it just a fluke?
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Eagles are letting this slip away. 21-16 Birds heading into the 4th...

Before Rivers started to click, before LT went insane. Everyone knows you can't determine anything from the first 4 weeks when it comes to the post-season. We know SD would beat them this time. Cincy just slapped Baltimore two weeks ago. They have a QB who won't hold up. If they can hold onto the #3 seed, they can get NYJ and avoid Cincy but going into the second round, they will collide with a team they won't beat.

Ravens are 1 SD loss away from Home Field Advantage with NE and IND losing. They play Denver, KC, Seattle and Arizona. After today the Ravens play Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Buffalo. and I have no idea why Billick didnt challenge that play..it was at least close to not being a fumble..ugh
AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Man, this game would be an even worse blowout if Garrard didn't act like a dumbass twice and overthrow Jones and throw a goddamn pick in the endzone. That being said however... MAURICE JONES-DREW FOR ROTY!!!! Yeah, I know it won't happen, but I can dream, can't I?
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Colston has rookie of the year on lock, but Jones-Drew has definitely been great. Also, Marv, the Ravens are probably going to drop another one before the end of the year and won't get homefield anyway. I expect them to get the 3 at this point, since New England won't have to do a whole lot to win their division.
