Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I saw The Holiday this weekend with my girlfriend, as far as chick flicks go it's pretty good. There's also a hilarious cameo appearance in the movie that I won't spoil.

Craig Th 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 Blood Diamond is one of those movies that will just do better on DVD. It doesn't look good enough to spend $10.00 on but worth $4.99 for a rental.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 I actually saw Blood Diamond and it was pretty good. Two reasons I think it kinda tanked here: 1. The whole craze of African protest movies is getting really stale. 2. Leo's accent comes off really cheesy and bad in the trailers. I got kind of used to it in the film itself, but in the previews he looks like he is really going to suck in it.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 I saw Let's Go To Prison at the $2 shows...yeah, I'd rather have my two bucks back
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 Leo's accent really isn't too far off. I had a friend who graduated with me from South Africa, and he talked a lot like that. Not as faux-British, but if you're not from somewhere the accent's usually going to sound forced. Didn't see a single movie here. Semi-surprised to see Happy Feet knocked out of #1, though. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 I wrote off "Blood Diamond" as another "The Beach" for Leo...figured he'd follow up a huge movie with a stinker action-adventure flick again. I'd like to see Djimon Honsou get more work...damned typecasting.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 It's not like the Beach at all. Two completely different movies. Djimon Honsou is great though. Let's Go to Prison had its moments. Sure it died off at the 60 minute mark, but Will and Dax did their best.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 It's not like the Beach at all. Two completely different movies. Djimon Honsou is great though. I know they're completely different movies, I just looked at it as another big budget action adventure flop like The Beach was. oh and Djimon Honsou (along with Jaoquin Phoenix and Oliver Reed) made Gladiator watchable from an acting standpoint...wasn't a fan of Crowe's work in it. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 The Beach actually didn't flop all the much. Had a budget of 50 million and it made 144 million worldwide. I have no idea what Blood Diamond will do overseas, but it's tough to imagine it making any sort of profit.

I guess Leo's name alone can't carry a movie
