And out of wedlock of all things. That and all the reviews said the director played it too safe so as not to piss off the Evangelicals. The thing that made the cartoon work was Charlotte wasn't very scary, she was actually kinda adorable looking for a spider. I quit about 50 pages into it, and went to reading Richard Laymon instead. Supposidly, the guy only got the book published because his parents are rich.
