With just a few days to go and all of the major contenders out there and playable, what game or games do you think come out at the top of the heap this year?

 

Instead of doing by console, I think we should do handheld, console, and PC. PC I know pretty much nothing of other than the console stuff that made it out there, so I'll be open to just about any serious nomination for that.

 

I'll take nominations up until Jan 1, then post a thread for voting.

Oblivion and Company of Heroes are about the only good nominations for PC.

 

I would add Disgaea 2 and Valkyrie Profile 2 to the console nominations. They're not super strong titles, but it's not like it's been a particularly strong year.

 

Oh, and Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence, even though it was just the original with some new content added. Come to think of it, I'd probably pick that for game of the year anyway.

You guys listed all of mine already: Guitar Hero II, Okami, Oblivion, and New Super Mario Bros. I have not yet played Twilight Princess or Gears of War, unfortunately.

I haven't gotten to Tales of the Abyss but my girlfriend says it's great.

 

Probably is the greatest Tales of game overall. And I like it more than Final Fantasy XII in nearly every aspect.

 

Considering its technically a remake, I'll nominate for the handheld's Final Fantasy III

So how short is "Bully" ? I mean I've heard it's not a very long game, but there are short games and then there are games that are DISSAPOINTINGLY short.....so would this game be classified simply as "shorter then I thought it would be" or "I feel like it was only half a game short" ?
